| CaptainCougar (142), Columbia, Maryland | | January 23, 2012 A fairly new store, that as the name suggests, is primarily focused on wine. There is a pretty healthy selection of beers too and it seems to get larger every month. Most of the space is dedicated to micros and imports, with occasional rarities thrown in. Prices are about midway between Perfect Pour (expensive) and Corridor (cheap), but they will get certain things that Corridor doesn’t. They put stuff on sale every now and then (like President’s Day, when they’ve offered 15% off 22oz bottles). Close to Hwy 29 in the Maple Lawn development next to Looney’s Pub. | Vas19 (1), Maryland does not count - explanation | | November 25, 2011 Jon is now the beer guy - really knows his stuff, saw him at GABF this year. All craft brews, mostly leans toward belgians but has a good selection of other stuff as well. Also a fantastic artisan wine selection. Worth stopping by. | | beachbum25 (63), Powellville, Maryland | | February 4, 2008 Nice place-Good selection of US stuff, kind of thin on Belgians. You can definatly get plenty of good beer here. Had a $2.00 upcharge for a mixed 6 pack though, thought that was kind of bogus although prices were good overall. Growler filling still on the way, waiting for approval I guess. Not far off 95 if you don’t get lost in all the traffic circles on 216!! | | scraff (10), Baltimore, Maryland | | January 22, 2008 [ Updated January 30, 2008 ] Rick is the beer manager here, so do not hesitate to ask for him. Really nice guy who knows his stuff well. Slowly expanding selection and very competitive pricing. They have 6 packs already broken up for you which is a plus. Lots of the newer Southern Tier, Lagunitas, Stone, etc. Will take all suggestions and look into ordering for you ASAP. I would like them to keep expanding the imported stuff, but it’s certainly rolling along. 2nd week in February will have a 4 tap system to fill growlers as well. Great beers willbe rotating often. Website updated every 1-2 weeks or so, so at least it’s a good indicator. Check it out if you’re traveling up/down 29 in MD. Not too far off 95 either. | | mwelsh13 (23), Maryland | | December 28, 2007 Up and coming bottle shop in the area. Quickly growing selection. They will order you what you want and they will have it. I just mentioned that I liked the Southern Tier Big Red and the next week they had a case of 22oz in the shop. Prices are very competitive and the staff knows their beer. This is where I go to get the beers I want. |
