Spec’s Liquor - Galveston

How shall I rate the ambiance of a Specs? It was close to closing time and I wanted a beer and they wanted to close. They have beer. They even had a couple not found in Austin. Other than that it was SO exciting I almost fainted.

A hard place to rate. if compared to downtown Specs, miles apart in selection, but for the island- it’s decent i suppose. The staff is kinda crumby and this store never gets anything special. Lame but it’s all the island has. Sad.

For the most part, if you’ve been in one Spec’s you’ve been in all of them and this one isn’t much different. Good beer selection including a few from the Houston area which I don’t have access to in the Austin/San Antonio area.

I wish to high heaven that they had pick-six, but there’s still a fairly good selection, and the staff is great. Also greatly appreciate the walk-in humidor.

Pick-a-six not available. Shame. Otherwise quite OK selection but it’s a bit tricky buy a 6 pack of all the beers you want to taste. Bought only a bomber of Karbach. Much more wine than beer.

Great selection of beers, but most of them sold in boxes of 6. Bit to much if you are a visitor and want to try out more varieties. But still good selection.

It’s Specs. Go here. It’s got the best beer selection in town. ’Nuff said.

Decent selection, not as good as some other Spec’s locations but far better than anyone else. Prices are fair. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It’s a Spec’s just like any other. Good selection for Galveston- the locals must be really happy to have it.
