| shrubber85 (132), Greenville, Indiana | | April 21, 2012 Nice place - comfortable surroundings and good food (my nephews really like the place). Beer is the average brew-chain quality. You’re in Gatlinburg so you should expect a tourist trap but prices aren’t that horrible. Have bottled beer to go. | | hellbilly (130), scottsdale über alles, Arizona | | October 18, 2011 stopped by 7/13/11 on the way out of the national forest. what a dump this town is! smb was not, however. surprisingly decent selection of 8 house beers and good food (even though the menu was limited because the kitchen caught on fire!...bitchin’). solid service. it seemed a little corporate but the mountain setting helped to distract me from that.... plus, it’s pretty cheap. | | Brandon8 (13), Indiana | | August 18, 2011 Visited on a Monday afternoon and sat at the bar. Bartender did not promote their beer at all. Had to ask for a list/description of beers. The beer selection seemed to be aimed at the bud/miller/coors fan as most of the beers were golden colored or lacking in hops. The only beer that appeared to have prominent hops, pale ale, was good enough for me to enjoy a few pints. The prices were good too - we had 4 or 5 pints and the bill was about $10. | | robgibbens (15), Gaithersburg, Maryland | | July 12, 2011 Smoky Mountain Brewery in Gatlinburg, TN is right in the middle of a tourist trap. The beers were mostly OK, some were pretty good, I bought a growler of the Porter. The food is cheap and pretty it’s much bar food. It’s served on plastic with checkerboard paper. The service, however, was just fine. Overall, this place is pretty low-rent, but the beers are not half bad to try if you are in town. | | roder60 (38), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | May 12, 2011 The place is a bit hard to find as it is nestled back in a little shopping plaza right as you enter town from the park side, but well worth stopping by. Food there was typical bar type food, but good - personally I recommend the reuben. Beers weren’t amazing, but most of them were pretty solid and well priced. I got the sampler of all 8 that they had on tap and it was less than $10 I think. You can also get 6ers to go for under $2 a bottle which I thought was reasonable given the fact that there is very little else in the way of beer selection in the smokies. If you are in gatlinburg, this is definitely the beer place to stop. | | beernovice39 (146), South Carolina | | April 8, 2011 About the only game in town. Corporate feel but decent food with average beer. | | lithy (156), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | December 5, 2010 Standard fare that I have come to expect from the SMB chain or family of restaurants in general. Had a bunch of the beers on tap but a few missing, food was the same as other locations and as good which is to say acceptable. I suppose it is nice to have local beer when in tourist hell. | | Rustyham (84), Nashville, Tennessee | | April 6, 2010 beers are better than macros but in the chain brewpub category of quality. Judging by what’s available in the area, this place is great, but I enjoyed it begrudgingly. | | topherh (21), Kearney, Missouri | | May 21, 2009 Visited this establishment twice on our trip to the Smokies. Visited with two young children 4 and 2. Had a good kids menu. Both of my meals were very good. Their mac and cheese side was excellent. Our waiters both nights were great. All of the beers I had here were solid. My favorite was the Appalachian Pale. | houser1978 (2), Delaware, Ohio does not count - explanation | | May 6, 2009 The best fire baked pizza I ever had. Great beer as well. |
