Very busy place on a pricy side. The food made with restaurant ambitions. Selection of beers is not great but you won’t leave dry. It is very weird though to have a drinking house at the site of a former church. I always feel uneasy to go drinking at the house of Our Lord, thus low ’ambience’ rating. I would rather prefer the church to be ruined than to be desecrated in this way.

Nice pub in terms of decor, atmosphere is lacking some but it has plenty of choice (bottle wise at least, can’t comment on the on-tap beers). The biggest problem is the price although it is the west end after all.

It may seem totally normal to the previous raters, but even in my not terribly religious part of Canada, I think people would react hard at establishing a pub in the heart of an abandonned church. It makes for an attractive place obviously with interesting lighting. It’s also not to far from many oither West End pubs, perhaps a 15-minute walk, so you may as well pop in to see and experience the place more than to hope to find great ales. A nice tourist attraction meet beer thing.

Attractive venue, bustling with people. But I walked in, looked at the beers, and just couldn’t be bothered--nothing particularly interesting for an experienced rater who has hit the other pubs.

Was here quite a while ago and didnt realise it had been added. Had Arran Blonde, not in excellent condition, Harviston Ptarmigan - Really bitter and i punished quite a few of them. Had hassis neps and tatties and were decent enough. Howver i think theres only 3 hand pulls and is mainly for west end folk with nothing better to do. Though a nice church setting.
