| Arve_Christian (68), Oslo, Norway | | March 10, 2012 Ubercool beer place in Glasgow, very posch- but a worldwide beer selection | Big_Dunc (6), Glasgow, England does not count - explanation | | March 1, 2012 A great bar with some great international beer. If you are looking for a selection of ales this is not the bar for you. However there is a beer there for everybody from all around the world. It is one of glasgow's hidden gems. | | Neilinblack (10), , Scotland | | December 16, 2011 Nice selection of beers | | CalumScotland (29), Hamilton, Scotland | | July 14, 2011 Nice place freindly staff good selection of beers would go again for sure | | MtStateBeer (21), Hurricane, West Virginia | | April 2, 2009 Visited March 2009. Awesome setup, underground location. Feels like you are drinking in a friends basement. Service was nice, friendly staff and the bartender was helpful. Selection was pretty good, but was looking for more Scottish ales. Did have the Fraoch heather ale for the first time which I enjoyed. My group shared some tappas (hummus, salmon and goulash). It was all pretty good. Overall a nice location. | iammarc (9), Inverness, Scotland does not count - explanation | | July 29, 2008 I haven’t drank here for a good year or two, however have good memories of it. Having a severe lack of beer selection in Inverness this was a delight for me, a good varied selection. I don’t agree with the fact that every beer HAS to be ice-cold - a total folly. The pizzas are good value and a fantastic feed. The staff were fairly friendly, sometimes quick off the mark, on occasion slow to serve. Looking forward to going back again to rekindle old memories, sorely hoping I won’t be disappointed too much! | | DonMagi (50), bantervile, England | | May 25, 2006 Underground on Gordon St. No not the station but it is underground. Staff friendly when they want to be which i find annoying at times. Service is generally good. Sellection makes me near cry when i need to buy a La Chuffe every time because i know anythign else will be tooo cold. Alround a good thing for Glasgow as people need something to get them off tennents its just ashame this is the best they got given. I will do all i can to repair this howeveer in whatever way i can........west! | | GarethYoung (26), Glasgow, Scotland | | July 13, 2005 [ Updated March 15, 2006 ] has one of the largest selections of bottled beers in glasgow, but most of them are pretty crap lagers. a few decent ales but nothing unusual, chimay and la chouffe is as good as it gets. beer is no longer served in the correct glass (i assume they were stolen or something), most of it is chilled to nigh on freezing point and its also very expensive. Its pretty fashionable and most of the customers are not big beer fans, they generally go to drink magners cider for twice what they would pay in pubs a few doors down from it. awful place, made worse by the vomitorious sign outside saying "OVER 70 ICE COLD BEERS SERVED IN ICE COLD GLASESS!". All in all a poncey, over-priced shit-hole that is likely to serve your chimay in a grolsch glass, both so cold, they hurt your hands. |
