On the sloping West George Street, this Lloyds Bar in the Wetherspoon chain is in a modern building that looks slightly out of place among the older pretty buildings along one of the city centreís principal grid pattern roads. The modern decor mirrors the building and although it can feel a little stale in design itís comfortable enough in the day and large enough in the evening for a party crowd. Ales served.

Renamed from Lloyds No. 1. Large modern clean Wetherspoons bar. Not very busy on a Tuesday evening but still like many Wetherspoons is understaffed. Service is therefore slow and the staff are disinterested. Place lacks soul and character. However has now gone up in my estimation as it is currently hosting a Williams Brothers Mini Festival and is attracting real ale drinkers.
