| Rune (234), Tromsø, Norway | | April 30, 2012 A pleasant, traditional pub located not far from the university campus in the west end of Glasgow. Has got an interesting range of nine cask ales, including ales from very local breweries. The beers I had were in excellent condition and served by an attentive staff. Busy early on a Thursday eve. They had got the meet the brewery sessions now and then, and was expecting the Titanic brewery the next day. Belongs to the Maclay Inns & Pub chain. In friendly company with local ratebeerians (visited, 12.04.2012). | | Vlad (11), Glasgow, Scotland | | April 9, 2012 THE BEST PUB in Glasgow. Full stop. My favourite place. Brilliant choice of real ales, and constant rotation of the guest beers. This is THE place to go. | | Benjii (61), Edinburgh, Scotland | | March 1, 2012 A great real ale bar in Glasgow’s west end. A large range of cask ales and 1 cask cider. This bar has a nice local boozer feel and is directly opposite Bruadar. Recommended. | JohnS1704 (2), , Scotland does not count - explanation | | March 1, 2012 A shadow of its former self. Cellars too warm and staff a bit on the cold side. Decent ale but not in top nick on last few occasions. | | Neilinblack (10), , Scotland | | December 16, 2011 Allways a port of call when in Glasgow - great range of beers | | skortila (125), Baarn, Netherlands | | September 27, 2011 Nice pub, friendly staff. Visited a stout, mild and porter day. Some nice stuff on. Classic atmosphere. Nice. | | CalumScotland (29), Hamilton, Scotland | | July 12, 2011 An Ok pub not to bizy but not dead either Ok selection of beers staff we’re freindly with Ok prices | | Beershine (540), The Sunshine State, Florida | | October 21, 2010 Thanks to Tom for sending us here, and for introducing us to Ron--who has an encyclopedic knowledge of UK beer. During the day it was really mellow, and good to sit at the bar and chat with Ron. That’s why our experience was so good. The beer selection when we were there was ok, nothing special but all in good condition. All in all was the beer highlight of Glasgow. | | JohnRMurdoch (208), Glasgow, Scotland | | August 14, 2010 [ Updated April 21, 2012 ] Traditional corner bar in the heart of the West End. Always busy and a bit cramped, not the most relaxing place to visit. Fantastic selection of real ales, local & national which I think are being better cared for than previously. Interested helpful staff, has got very much better. Also has a good choice of bottled ales. A must visit place. | | ladnewton (129), London, England | | April 24, 2010 Great to return to the Three Judges today. Ten taps dispensing 6 ales mainly from micros. Beowulf Heroes, 4.7% excellent. Spacious bar with three drinking areas. Wood panelling throughout, quarry tiles around the bar; comfprtable decor and lighting. Quiet music in the background from Magic 105.4FM. Noted admission policy excludes children and "young persons". At 44 years of age, I was the youngest punter there! Lovely pub, well deserving of the awards it has won and regular inclusion in the Good Beer Guide. |
