A spacious brewpub, beer hall like, situated in a huge brick building called Templeton in the Green area in the eastern part of Glasgow, and within walking distance from the city centre. Five of their own beers on offer, brewed according to the so called reinheitsgebot. Good food, I had the Schnitzel Sandwich which had a fresh taste and paired well with the brewpubs German inspired beers. Welcoming and mostly attentive service. Likable place, well worth visiting (visited at lunch time, 13.04.2012).

AN intersting German Brew pu in glasgow with some decent beer. nothing too exciting but still was a decent addition to Scottish beer scene. However they are nor charging more than £1.50 more for 2 halves than the pint price. Irresponsible behaviour. Not ever one want sto drink massive amounts why should they pay almost as much for a half as a pint.

My kind of pub - a brewpub that brews beer to the German purity laws - always find something to tempt me here

A excellent pub, with a decent atmosphere & incredible beer. I tried the Dunkel & the Hefeweizen and both were great. They had four of there own beers on tap plus a wide range of bottled beers from around the world. It was about £3.20 for a pint which is a lot cheaper than I expected & definitely worth it considering you’d pay that in a lot of places around Glasgow. The only down side is that it is a bit away from the centre of town but it would be great during the summer in the beer garden. I am already planning my next visit. abarwithnoname.wordpress.com

This place I find a bit of an enigma. Sophisticated upmarket German style microbrewery in Bridgeton, one of the less salubrious areas of Glasgow. Interesting selection of beers including their own brews. They claim to be the only German style brewery in the UK. Their beer isn’t bad but it is not as good as their German equivalents. They also sell a good number of interesting bottles. Food is very good and you can walk off the calories afterwards on the Glasgow Green which it overlooks. Only downside is the price which at £4 a pint is ridiculously expensive. Been back again. Their beer quality has got very much better and they now claim to distribute it to 60 outlets. Meal was fantastic. Expensive but well worth a visit.

Nice brewing place, they are associated to a German enterprise. A little expensive and boring ambiance but nice view and good beers.

A huge place with tall cealings and wooden floor - a little too tall cealings to really get anywhere like cozy. Glad we had the sideroom for our dinner, since the main hall was very noisy. The food was decent, but a bit pricy compared to the quality. 4 beers on draft, unfortunately another had just run out before our arrival, some patrons were still sipping it, which was a bit of a disappointment to me. German style beers, pretty boring if you live as close to Germany as I do, but if you live in Glasgow the concept might work. Anyways, if I go back to Glasgow, I’ll pop by and see if anything new is on.

Huge disappointment. Boring beer, and almost half of the beers were not even on when I visited. Food was barely ok and I really wanted more from this place.

The only let-down during the RBESG 2007. Uninteresting and over-priced German style lagers + hefeweizen - but the Germans do them better! No point in having a brewpub if they can’t brew better beers than these. Located in a former factory, which explains the uninviting interior. Food is not exactly haute cuisine, and a bit over-priced for the quality. Friendly staff though.

Flavourless beers. The food was as tasteless as their beers. Nice of them though to let us sample some of our own beers after our meal.
