Stopped by this place mid-2011. As with pretty much every other Trader Joes, this place s probably not adequate for your beer needs, but it has a few items that are worth stopping by - the Trader Joe’s anniversary beer is great and the Mission Street beers are pretty great, though standard for the locations. Can make the occasional mixed six-pack with various beers at that location. There were a few good ones that I normally don’t see (or are sold out before I get to the beer shelves).

Decent selection of craft-ish beers, many of which are only available at Trader Joe’s. Staff are very friendly but as a supermarket, they really aren’t knowledgable about their beers. Its worth a stop for a few cheap, decent beers.

A good place to go, especially since a good portion of their beers are from other breweries but only available at Trader Joe’s. The "make a 6 pack" option is always good. Plus, its worth visiting yearly for the Unibroue brewed Trader Joe’s Vintage Ale which shows up each winter. Decent selection of other products as well.

Built on what was a massive farm in the middle of suburbia for much of my life, this is now in one of those suburban shopping and living neighborhoods. I use to like that farm, but alas, it is no more. As for the store, its a typical Trader Joes, though its got beer (unlike the one near my home in MD - stupid state laws). Anyway, a nice selection of the house brand beers, for really good prices. I don’t really understand the previous reviewer’s complaints about traffic, the Short Pump area has some volume, but its easily negotiated. If you think this area has too much traffic, I hate to see what you would think of driving in any major city in the world. Sure, the volume is higher here then 10 years ago, but it is still quite light compared to the traffic I fight though everyday in the DC Metro area. Oh, and by the way, they did have the 2009 Vintage Ale when I went (and at that wonderful $3.99 for a 750 price point too), so stop in for some of that and some other cheap beers. Great place to load of for BBQs or parties so you are still buying micro-like stuff, but at macro-like prices.

Don’t listen to maniac. He has no clue how to drive. On the bigger side for a Trader Joe’s, which makes sense as its one of their larger stores. A few craft selections such as Unibroue, Stone, Lindemans, etc. and a whole slew of their own store brands. Good place to stock up on some ticks, some of which are fairly decent. Prices are good all around and the store labels are usually just a buck. Employees there are usually nice. Parking gets a bit crowded at times but I usually find a spot on the side. No Vintage Ale has been seen here, which is epically lame.

Buried in Short Pump, this can be somewhat difficult to get to due to traffic now. Fairly large store with a whole aisle dedicated to beer. Most seems to be branded for Trader Joes and is commonly an alias of some other beer. Singles are sold without a markup over 6-packs so, mixed 6-ers are quite encouraged. Beer seems to run for about $1/ 12-oz bottle. I picked up 30 beers that I’d yet to have (though I found out that a couple I had tried under a different name). Worth stopping by for a few quick ratings on the cheap.
