2 reviews for Whole Foods, Glen Allen
| maniac (90), Richmond, Virginia | | January 21, 2009 Very nice beer selection and plenty of cheese to pair with it. This is a huge store and being in Short Pump it can be a miserable place to try to get to. The place can get a bit crowded, but it’s hard to avoid a crowd in the area. | | dkachur (114), Charlottesville, Virginia | | October 7, 2008 Not sure how the geography works, but though the address is Glen Allen, it is considered a Short Pump location.
New Whole Foods. Parking was a freaking nightmare, but there are plenty of spots and there was a festival taking up some of them, so hopefully it’s better. I hear they have parking attendants on weekends to ease the flow.
Ambience is typical Whole Foods. Customer service is efficient and helpful, above the curve for some other Whole Foods locations.
The specialty section (cheese, wine, beer, coffee, etc.) is MASSIVE compared to other stores, with an entire aisle dedicated to beer, with minimal macros and an inspired collection for a grocery store, one of the better I’ve seen at a Whole Foods. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the Short Pump area.
(Full disclosure: I work for Whole Foods Market, though not at this location. My review is from a neutral point of view) |
