My wife and I stopped here for lunch on the way to Paso Robles. It’s a nice, clean, comfortable place. The beer selection was great; however, you could take non-beer drinkers here and they’d enjoy it. The food was quite good: I had a grilled fish sandwich. My wife got a really nice salad. The only downside was that it took a long time for our food to come out. On another note: there’s plenty of parking.

stopped in here for a tasting... did not eat, so can’t comment on their food. It is a nice brewpub in a strip mall in Goleta (near Santa Barbara). We sat at the bar - very comfortable - a few tvs around - nice people to chat with - bartender was nice and knowledgable. Their Patterson Porter is really good as well as their high grav. beers. The overall tap list is diverse in styles and they also feature a couple guest taps - Green Flash and Sierra Nevada were on when I was there. Nice bathrooms.

A few times I year I stop in here on my way up north. On each visit it seems like the beer is better than the last. I really like their hoppy beers and they also do some tasty darker beers. The food is good and fairly priced. Contrary to some of the comments, I have found the service excellent. I tried their IIPA on my last visit and while it was decent I could tell it was not that fresh - the waitress swapped the beer out for a better one no questions asked. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food, great beer, horrible service. Best way to sum up this place.

Located in a large mall, this airy and modern restaurant and bar offers 13 of their beers on tap, along with a decent menu of bar food. Their specialty seems to be IPAs, and they have some good ones. There is an attractive bar with a dozen stools and two flat screen TVs. There are also a couple dozen tables and a long counter with stools. The barkeep who served me was friendly, but didn’t know a lot about the beers. A must visit place if in Santa Barbara.

This brewer (I don’t know his/her name) is an unsung hero of California. The brewpub restaurant itself is nothing special, being located in an upscale mall setting, but the beer menu and the quality of the brews are simply wonderful. Most on my visit were session ales and all I tried were polished and very drinkable. Moreover, some had a lot of personality (Rye ESB, Gose, India Red Ale, etc.) while retaining this professionalism in execution. I would come back here in a heartbeat to this more of this brewer’s libations if I were to be anywhere near Santa Barbara or driving on the highway, passing through the area.

Real solid beers. The food ranges for OK to great. Service isn’t too bad. Overall, though, this is a really good local brewpub

For me the only place in Santa Barbara to go for beer. Eric the brewer is for real. Wide selection of styles and ALL well done. This is the perfect place to get out of the car and stretch the legs on the way up or down the coast.

No ’wow’ beers, but no ’wow this is not good beers’. Everything was at least an average example of the style. Service was very good, food was good. Stop by if you in the area for sure.

A trendy place to grab a bite to eat. Food is reasonably priced, and the beer is too, espeicially during happy hour. I was a little bothered by the lack of a discount on the taster flight during happy hour, but oh well. The food was delicious and the beer was tasty, and seemed to be fairly original. One of our waiters had little knowledge on beer, the other had a great knowledge of their house beers.
