Best selection of standard selection - but you geeting reallly sad when you see all that crap beer. The only place to find special releses in Göteborg, and one of three in Sweden. One sad thing is that guys a hanging on the door at 10 am to "steal" all the nice and limeted releses. And peolpe that have to by a box of 24 Big Foots and dries the shop up. Luckely found a couple in the SB in Karlskoga

One of the world’s best liquor stores. Good prices, good beer and whisky. Missing out on locally produced beer.

A Systembolaget store with a very central location in Göteborg, inside the Nordstan shopping centre. The store has a fairly decent selection, too many of the beers are crappy Swedish lagers though. Some highly drinkable beers are still left for the more discerning customer.

One of the better Systembolaget store I’ve been too (never been at Regeringsgatan though). They got all the beers in the standard sortiment + they also get all news includning the "middle of the month release". If I lived here I would probably spend even more money on beer...

Very nice selection of beers indeed in this store. Friendly staff.

This store has one of the best selections in the monopoly but you can find rare beers on other locations as well. Maybe more famous for their wines and whiskies. In some cases a bottle of fine wine or whisky might be cheaper here than abroad.

As expected, the staff is more into wine than beer, but that doesn’t matter, you probably know what you want anyway. Nice selection of different international beers, as well as a vast selection of Swedish lagers. And the prices are low, at least for a Norwegian.

Very fresh and sober (no pun intended) atmosphere. The staff is helpful, but seems to be more into wine than beer. The selection is good, but the Systembolaget at Jaegerdorffsplatsen usually have a more complete regular assortment. This is the place to go for special/small releases however. Just a shame that Swedish micros are hard to get here due to the highly bureaucratic Swedish alcohol legislation.

This was the systembolaget that I went to all the time while I was in Göteborg. For such a progressive country it is sad that Sweden is stuck with the Systembolaget, but as far as these stores go, this one seems to be pretty good. It is located in a big mall and looks a lot like a supermarket inside, but the selection isn’t bad. Be careful when you go, because it can be absolutely packed towards closing time with long lines at every checkout. Staff was fairly friendly but I was never asked if I needed help and they didn’t seem to venture into the beer section much.

One of the best selections in Sweden. If you find the right guy also a very good service and knowledge. Shall carry all new beers released (every month) and have the full selection of the regular assortment.
