| northropfrye (47), Steinbach, Manitoba | | January 5, 2012 For the area this has a good selection of American micros. Weaker on the foreign selection, but still pretty good. I think the other Happy Harry’s in Grand Forks had a bit larger selection of singles. | | OSLO (119), Ames, Iowa | | July 31, 2011 This is extremely similar to the Happy Harry’s on 45th in Fargo. Slightly worse selection, including fewer singles, but virtually identical store layout. Service was similar to others, and prices were still good. Overall, a decent store for Grand Forks. | | fata2683 (125), Tucson, Arizona | | June 18, 2011 there are actually 2 locations in Grand Forks, but this one appeared to have just a little bit more beer than the other. Decent selection of beer for where you are. Lots of Mid-West stuff like Bells, Boulevard and Granite City. Look at the mead/wine selection for those ND and SD rates. Crow Peak is available here as well, the porter and IPA from SD. | | Savvy1982 (53), Lethbridge, Alberta | | February 24, 2011 Happy Harry’s is a large, well-lit, airy place, with a very Midwest sort of vibe, not in a bad way, but you definitely notice, being from Western Canada. Had a great experience with the staff, the guy I talked to was knowledgeable, understood the sorts of things I was after, and helped me make some really great choices. Solid choice of brews, Goose Island, Boulevard, Bells, not spectacular, but very solid across the board. I ended up sending much more than I probably should have, which is always a good sign. Can’t imagine there being anywhere significantly better in the area. | | mnurda (56), Winnipeg, Manitoba | | April 21, 2010 Great selection of US Microbrews and other libations. Staff are super friendly. | happybeermanGF (2), North Dakota does not count - explanation | | March 23, 2009 Very nice bottle shop, check it out | Slick (7), Thief River Falls, Minnesota does not count - explanation | | March 23, 2006 Nice place, they stock roughly about 150 different kinds of brew from around the world but it rarely changes. |
