| PorterPounder (219), Tallahassee, Florida | | July 27, 2011 Stopped by here while on vacation at a family reunion in July 2011. Friendly little brewpub with a energetic staff. Have at least eight of their beers on tap - the three I had were excellent. Have growlers, bombers and six packs to go. Did not eat - but the menu looked to be typical pub grub and those that I saw partaking appeared to be enjoying it. Worth a stop if strolling along the boardwalk in Grand Lake. Brewing takes place at an offsite facility and I was told they have a second brewpub located about four miles south of Grand Lake. | | daknole (204), Scottsdale, Arizona | | July 25, 2011 Fun place with some pretty damn good beer. Service was great. Good place! | | notalush (256), Denver, Colorado | | July 21, 2011 Took some family members to RMNP, so naturally I dragged them here for lunch - very small place - room for about 8 in front and 20 on a back "patio" that is actually a plywood platform with picnic tables on it - backcountry bar feel - fits the town, but that is not necessarily a good thing - service was incredibly slow, but that is mostly due to being understaffed - if you can’t properly staff a place that can seat such a small amount of people, then what the hell are you doing running a restaurant? - probably about 40 minutes between the time we arrived and the time food was at the table - when it did arrive, the food was decent for greasy American fare - my rueben was surprisingly good considering it was being served in a mountain town about 2000 miles from NY - beer selection was all the stuff available in bottle shops throughout the state, plus one brewpub only beer - beers are decent, though - it’s okay, but they need to work on the service and perhaps add one or two more exclusive beers. | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | October 13, 2010 Most of the beers are mediocre though a couple are pretty good. The atmosphere kind of sucks and it’s a bit of a drive from Winter Park. | | desurfer (94), Melbourne, Florida | | July 2, 2008 Great service and tasty beers in a gorgeous mountain/lake town at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park. The brewpubs are few and far between here, so this was a nice stop. Definitely a must if you’re passing through. | | josarah (77), Hinesburg, Vermont | | July 1, 2007 Great place in the hills. Comfortable place that serves great beers, if I lived here it would be a regular hangout. Try Dain Bramage. | mreusch (5), Olathe, Kansas does not count - explanation | | October 30, 2006 I’ve been to GL twice in as many years and this place is always worth stopping into, both for decent beer and some friendly conversation. Folks there are always nice, willing to share samples, talk beer, etc. and overall make you feel welcome. Very small joint, but good amount of character all the way around, and compliments the fine town of GL very nicely. | | KAggie97 (213), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | | October 18, 2006 Went here after my future mother-in-law noticed it while driving through the main drag. Nice place, but a bit small. Seating is sparse, but I guess it fits a town of this size. Brews are decent, but I didn’t eat there so no comment on the food- they were out of most of the food and a few of the beers. Wouldn’t serve some brews ’cause of the retarded "3.2" law. On the whole, not a bad place. I’ll revisit. | | BrewDad (359), Olympia, Washington | | October 6, 2006 [Colorado Road Trip – 2006]
A great little brewpub out in Grand Lake Colorado. On the West side of the Rocky Mountain National park this little brewery is awesome. The beer was great and the food was also just as good. The brewer was there he talked and had lots to say. It was a great time and we will be back to Grand lake Colorado some day. The brewery was a not miss on this trip.
