84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20
Originally reviewed: 5/29/09. Stopped in here for lunch today while I was a few stores away checking out Bestway. Sat at the bar. Nice decor in the place. Alot of stones, vines and everything’s made of wood. Very cool.
I got a slice of pepperoni pizza with a salad. The salad was pretty average, but the pizza was very, very good! Great thin crispy crust. Huge pepperonis. Very nice. They had about a dozen craft brews on tap, and all were from NC, which I thought was cool. Highland, DR, Natty’s, French Broad, and Carolina Brewing were all there. Nice touch. They had an odd assortment of canned brews as well. Nothing bottled. I think they had a few Oskar Blues in the cooler.
The service was decent, but nothing fantastic. Helpful and kind. I really like this place, and if I get back to this area again (which I guarantee I will with Bestway being fantastic) I’ll stop in again.
