| Onenote81 (72), Winston-Salem, North Carolina | | May 3, 2012 Originally reviewed: 1/19/11. Stopped in here after hitting up Darryl’s for lunch. Always like to check out this chain for brews. The beer section is on the right when you walk in the store. The Seasonals are set apart which is always nice, but this specific store still carried alot of Oktos and Fall brews in the "Seasonal" section. Amongst them were some Winter releases. A few of the Fall brews were marked down, which isn’t always the case at this chain, but not all of them were. I picked up some discounted Bruery Autumn Maple. Score! The rest of their selection was fair, but the TW in Winston carries a much wider selection, and doesn’t have as many "freshness" issues as this one. I wouldn’t go out of my way to hit this store. The one on Battleground was better IMO. | | adam42381 (30), Fort Myers, Florida | | September 15, 2010 Total Wine has a great selection, especially for the area. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The selection is quite extensive. Though the High Point Road location may not have the selection some of their other stores have, it’s still pretty impressive. I love the create your own six pack option. I will definitely make Total Wine a regular stop when I’m looking for world class brews. The selection ranges from local favorites (Red Oak kegs and Duck Rabbit Brewery) to international brands (Trappistes Rochefort, etc). You really can’t beat it. The prices are a little high but not too bad either. | | NachlamSie (357), Tennessee | | February 17, 2008 Wow, there is a pretty large selection of beer here. Prices are very reasonable and nearly everything is available in singles. I noticed a lot of weird beers that I’ve never seen before like some stuff from FL, MO, and LA. They have some neat snacks and party food. Since our party was over the age of 21, we received friendly help. I’d go back here again. | Bnnarbt (1), high point, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | July 9, 2007 the other person broke total wines policy of not allowing minors in the store due to underage sale possilbilty, never had a problem there and am there all the time | | 00cobraR (27), Greensboro, North Carolina | | July 6, 2007 These people are dicks. I will never set foot in this store again. Was thrown out because I had my 17 yr old sister in there and was talking prob. $50 worth of beer to the counter. The manager was extremely rude to me and yelled at me to leave. In the same tone of voice I told her she can take all this beer that i have and stick right up her ass. Go to the one on Battleground Avenue. They are much nicer there. | tinydancer (7), Gibsonville, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | November 30, 2006 In general, if it can be found in NC, you’ll find it here. Great service with wonderful selection. You’ll find Rochefort to Sierra Nevada. |
