A taproom/to-go store with a little patio out front and a decent amount of seating and merch inside. Service was good. 8 taps available plus samplers made it easy to work through them. No food available. Prices are in line with the area. Pretty standard taproom.
A very good selection of bottled beer ready to go with most available cold. Good prices on these. In brewery atmosphere. Excellent service. I had three beers here and took two to go: all were good or better, with one (Sugar Maple) just outstanding. Some beers only available at the brewery including some only on tap and some only bottled (e.g., the Baltic Porter).
Garrison is located all the way along the coast next to the farmers market. Inside it is rather impressive space with the brewery taking centre stage. They have a decent sized shop, bar and patio area. I opted for a flight of beers served in proper glassware, which sounds like a recent improvement according to previous reviewers. Beers are well crafted, if a little tame in style for their regulars. Staff were very knowledgable and I got speaking to the brewer himself. Very friendly guy who generously shared some of his own stash of rum aged spruce beer. I thought that particular beer was delicious. I then moved on to their fresh-fruit radler which was mighty crushable. Shops is loaded with merch and full of special release beers (barrel aged stuff and collabs). I had a great time chilling here on the Monday afternoon. A Halifax must-visit for sure.
Located on the pier near a decent little farmerís market, the building looks inviting. Popping in, however, one quickly discovers that it is less a brewpub and more a tasting room with bottle sales. Only 5 taps, plastic cups, that whole deal. That being said, the staff obviously know their stuff, and you canít beat the place for freshness!
Just across the street from the Farmerís Market with a nice little outdoor seating area. Cheap samples and on a sunny day a great spot to do some people watching. Itís not exactly a pub - but itís a good place to hang out and knock back some cheap samples. They had one season/collaboration on when I was there but Iím not sure if thatís typical.
I wasnít impressed at all. They had alsmost nothing available on tap, and what they did have was being served in plastic cups. Stood around the bar area for a few minutes and couldnít find an employee to help me even though it was pretty empty, so I gave up and left. Iíd say skip it.
Awesome space across from the farmers market in the port. Love the decor and large selection of bottles and taps. Weird staff, though. I spoke to 3 people behind the bar and they all seemed very over it. Disappointing really. Sorry for buying a bunch of your beer and asking about your brewery...
I assume itís because of arcane NS liquor laws, but it totally sucks that you canít buy a tasty beer from their coolers and drink it on site. You are stuck with whatever they have on tap (probably 6-7 taps) and little 4 oz tasters in a plastic cup.

Located at the end of the boardwalk, beside the Farmers Market, this brewery has a very open and welcoming appearance with handsome signage. Inside it really is just a large tasting room, albeit nicely arranged. Tons of swag for sale. A glass cooler houses everything they brew, including a few selections not circulated in stores, as well as house made sodas (which our kids loved). Excellent service. No food.
Happen to just stubble upon this brewery when just walking along the pier from our hotel, had no actual plans to go here, but the brewery it self was in a really nice location. When you walk in you can see the brewing tanks and things the brewery is very modern in appearance, really nice in side, They had a big cooler to the left of the door with a large selection of garrison brews. There was a man with 5 tap handles I believe serving beer. Good stop, worth a stop if your in the area
