Stopped through on a visit, and was left slightly disappointed. Typical liquor store vibe, with old tile and harsh lights. Spacious place that caters mostly to wine and the hard stuff, but there were a couple of aisles for beer and a few coolers too. NE Micros were well represented (Berkshire, Sebago, Allagash, Southern Tier, etc.), and there was a decent selection of U.S. micros in general (even if they tended to be the usual suspects). Pretty skimpy on Belgians, though. Okay place, but I was hoping for more variety in the regional stuff.

typical CT beer store, nothing crazy about this one. service was good however when I asked if they carried anything from Cisco, was told" no, sorry", better than a punch in the face I guess.

Average-sized package store with the craft beer nestled in the back left corner and the leftmost aisle. Service were a bunch of pimply high schoolers who didn’t assk me anything. It was a busy Friday night, though. Selection is decent for a CT packie. Lots of regional 6 packs with quite a few foreign pale lager 6ers as well. They have some Beligians as well as a couple Fantomes for what it’s worth. I found some 03 WWS there as well as a 40 of Schaefer, which I thought were the 2 best finds. Prices here seem to be inflated about $1 over most other stores in the state.

When you walk into this store, the first thing you’ll notice is that it is not as big as the New Haven location. Their selection and staff make up for it. What’s nice about this location is that they tend to get more of the rare beers (like the 750s of Dulle Teve and bombers of Harpoon maibock I left with) and stock fresher bottles than the New Haven store. This store tends to be quieter than the New Haven location and the staff knows a lot more about beer.
