Nice branch of the brewpub, better than the one in Bowie IMHO. Bartenders were very nice and fun to talk to. They were running a special on the oak barrel stouts which were excellent. I didn’t eat food but it looks good and I will have to sometime.

If you absolutey musy come to this place, turn right and entrr the bar area. Eight taps, nothing unusual. But better than the cavernous and characterless restaurant portion. In fact, better to pass this place and go to Baltimore if you’re heading north, or Franklins if you’re heading south.

I don’t normally even try these mall brewpubs. It’s not really snobbery so much as several previous bad experiences with them. The beer is often terrible, the atmosphere is that of a Cheesecake Factory, and the servers know beer like I know nuclear physics. But DuClaw seems to be the exception on this and I’m really glad I went. I stopped by just before returning my rental car. The rental car center for BWI is actually just a couple of miles from here. Arundel Mills is one those sprawling messes of a suburban shopping mall, with a ring road, complex access points and ridiculous parking lot. DuClaw is on the northeast side of the mall by the googlaplex cinema. Interior features a restaurant area and a smaller (but still relatively large) bar area off to the right. A sign alludes to smoking only in the bar area, but I believe smoking is no longer allowed at all. Bar area has TVs everywhere and features a nice patio area and big windows. Twelve taps when I went, all of them very interesting. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about most of the beers, being able to articulately describe them and compare them to beers from other breweries. They do samplers of six for $9 or of all 12 for $19. If you do math on that one, it doesn’t come out, but most of the beers were too high gravity for me to dwell too long, so I got six of the more interesting ones. The Sawtooth, I think, was the most interesting. Described as an Imperial Wit, it had a much stronger body than I would have expected. Serum (double IPA) was excellent, and everything else I had that day was very good. I wish I had known about this place earlier. What’s really cool is that they have custom coasters for each of their beers, even their seasonals or specialties. Each coaster has an artist design on it, mirroring what’s on the tap. The sampler price was a little high, but pints were reasonable, going anywhere from $4 to $6 for the higher gravity beers. But they do a weekday happy hour from 3-7pm, where they take $2 off the beers. Something to check out, certainly. I wish I had know that before I came at 2pm.

This place is situated in a local mall south of Baltimore in the Baltimore-DC corridor. Was traveling through the area on my way to Maine. It’s a rather typical brewpub with a patio and bar. I got there right when they opened. Didn’t have much time so I took the recommendation of the bartender on which ones to order. Due to his knowledge and excellent customer service I ended up getting a few growlers to go. They were rather pricey but given the area, it’s understandable. I’d go back again if I’m back in the area.

This is one of my favorite places to come. They have a full sampler which lets you sample 12 of their beers in 4oz. glasses for only around $15! Their food and beers are both delicious.

No seasonal selections of beerwhen I went, just their usual brews. Food was reasonably priced and beer was a decent price too. That being said, their food was better than the beer. That being said the beer wasn’t horrible but it just wasn’t as good as I expected. Serum XXIPA is a great beer but most others weren’t up to my expectation. Service was good and place was very clean.

Just like my local DuClaw but in a mall and with much better service. The rest here is just copied from my rating of the "Bel Air" (really Abingdon) location....

DuClaw beer is typically solid with a few worth getting excited about and a few duds; pretty typical brewpub stuff and some experimentation with the big beers. Always a good variety. Regular new releases keep it interesting (and release events always include a freebie), but none of the beers are location specific since none of the beers are brewed in house, I guess. The menu is very typical brewpub, focusing on meat, cheese, and fat, but done fairly well. Most prices are high Cheese is on nearly everything and if you’re vegetarian I hope you like salad.

Well I was stuck at BWI for a night and said why the hell not get some rating in. This place was above my expectations. They had 10 beer sampler, plus one also on nitro. The prices were what I would expect from a mall brewpub chain. The server was awesome, Kristy who normally works in the bar part took care of me. She also found time to sit down and chat about the beers. I’m not saying women don’t know about the beers they serve, but she was outstanding. I suggest asking if she is working, plus she’s been there 7 yrs. The beers were alright, many winter styles still on tap in Feb. The bar was packed and I was eating so I ate in the spacious dinning area. I would recommend this place if your stuck anytime!

Well, I am starting to really not like breweries in malls. The prices here are high, and so is the noise. The servers seem busy but still manage to not really do anything. While the food and beer are good, both are way overpriced.

managed to hit this place right as it opened... 6/13/2010. huge mall location with a fairly large modern designed pub not unlike tcb in tux but with less character. 9 beers on tap... a lot of them taste alike but they’re decent. food is respectable and a little typical. service is standard and a bit distracted given the fact that there were maybe ten full tables in the place. on the pricey side despite being under whelming.
