A good, old-fashioned pub. Crowded even on a Monday evening, with 3 of their own beers plus a guest. Good service and atmosphere and friendly locals.

2010-07-31. Front of the house is a fairly traditional small pub. Back room is kind of a ghetto garage like area with picnic tables. Taps included two of their own and a couple of guest taps. Beers were okay. We had a fairly quick visit it in the back room as the front area was packed on a busy day in the summer. I suspect its more laid back and enjoyable when it is not the school holidays in England. Worth a visit if you are in town, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Other pubs in town seemed to have as good or better cask options based on our looks in the windows :)

Visited back in September 2007 during an afternoon pub crawl. Situated on a quiet little street (near the Rock Shoppe, a favourite old haunt when we used to visit my grandparents), the pub has that small-but-cosy feel to it, and you can look downstairs through the back to the tanks. Service was friendly, considering I plonked my wheelie suitcase down in front of the fireplace shortly followed thereafter by myself at the bar. Four interesting rotating taps available, I tried two and wanted more but had to make my way over to the hotel. Location is easy to find and central between the shops and the sea. Unfortunately they could not serve me food before dinnertime. Overall, I would definitely visit it again if I were in the area.

Visited back in August 07. Nice little back street pub, friendly knowledgable staff. Guest ales as well as their own brews which are pretty nice. Worth a visit if in Hastings.
