| Scouser (13), Pennsylvania | | March 22, 2011 [ Updated January 23, 2012 ] An old bank, so the building is cool and nice decor. Kitchen is open for all to see, and it’s clean. The bar itself is missing a certain ambiance that it should have considering the building. The bartender had the personality of a brick wall, but was semi efficient. I had probably one Of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had here, blackened chicken with Swiss, onions, pepper on a baguette. Beer selection is ok 5 or 6 craft the rest are your usual suspects. | | jmm635 (66), Havertown, Pennsylvania | | July 24, 2009 [ Updated June 9, 2010 ] Nice little place in Havertown (not many other options!). Lots of tvs for watching a Phillies game, good service, and a nice outdoor seating area. Food was pretty good and selection was decent. Nothing on tap that can’t be found in the city, but in Havertown this is about as good as it gets. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to the Oakmont, but it’s certainly nice to have around the corner. | | kkearn (22), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | July 9, 2006 [ Updated October 3, 2006 ] I’ve been here 3 times, and i.ve been very happy with the food and beer selections. The full food and bar menus are posted on the website. The food was very tasty and the potions are large for the price. Their everyday drafts include Hoegaarden, Paulaner Hefe, and Sierra nevada. they also have a rotating "Featured Beer" tap, which was Grottenbier at my last visit. Multiple TV’s, so it’s a great place to watch local sports. Highly recommended if you’re in the area! |
