Regular Alko.

Good selection of finnish brews, and also some international beers...

Being a finn, I feel I need make a few pointers considering faroevikings review :). Alko is a national, goverment owned monopoly and only store in Finland you can get drinks above 4.7 %. Similar to System Bolaget in Sweden. The store in shopping centre Forum is not at all the one with best selection. The web page offer the full listing of the selection which varies between stores. Selection has a decent amount of well known beers and rotating selection of others, usually quite well known also. I’d say there are no rare beers if you don’t count smaller finnish beers. Real ales absolutely not. I think the 200 bottles is a little exaggerated also, unless it’s changed since I last visited :). I would guess it’s somewhere between 20-40.

Pretty nice store with lots of interesting beers from all over Finland and some abroad. The staff is not so helpful though. But the name of the store is just perfect! ;-) When I grow up I want a store with that name................... and I darn well know about the alc. system in Finland (plus Sweden, Norway, Faroes, Greenland and Iceland).
