Small and cozy bar located near the Linnanmäki amusement park and a short walk from the Pasila train station. Can be reached from central Helsinki with numerous buses and tram line 9. They don’t have many taps, but the bottle selection is quite large. They usually have some Finnish microbreweries on tap but otherwise the selection is quite similar to other places aside from a few specialties every now and then.

A cosy and relaxed, medium-sized pub with a nice selection, but maybe not the optimal location for attracting beer lovers. Paid just a quick visit when cycling by, so no in-depth review.

Cosy secluded tables. Friendly staff, including a couple of friendly faces from the other good beer venues. Continually changing selection, specials, including stuff from pikkulintu, and local brewers well represented. Walking distance or a short tram ride from Sornainen metro, so pick up a fish pub (Hilpea Haukki) and a William K (Kurvi), on the same trip.

Nice new bar with good choice of few local beers, the Helsinki brewery pils is nice. Suomenlinna porter, Tampere Koskipanimo with the brand Plevna have very good Bock, nice smoked beer and whit beer Belgium style. Small breweries beers are changing frequently. If you want to play safe they have the Czech Pilsner from the tap as well and many other popular beers on bottles, to name few: Kwak, Rochefort, Leffe, Kozel, Budvar and many others. Price are higher then average for this neighbourhood but if you want to keep the local drunks away, that it is not such a bad idea, at list I have a peaceful and clean place to enjoy my beer :)

Lots of Plevna beers on tap. Actually all the beers weren’t available, some sold out. I don’t know what’s the idea with the name. Has it something to do with Famous Grouse or is it trying to imitate Helsinki Kalaravintolat? It’s owned by Olutkellari Helsinki. There are some whiskeys available too.

Spacy, good athmosphere, some local old schools bar flies. nice clear chalk board with the list of beers available categorized by country. Presenting small breweries from Finland a couple of weeks is nice thing to do and made me enter the place. small selection though made me choose the Torpedo of Sierra Nevada and I did not regret. They serve toasts. did not try one yet. maybe next time depending on the price. a bit expensive bar.
