Big place with a wide selection for a first stop having just got off a plane from Lithuania. So it was a couple samples of some rather expensive draft beers from Finland, and we were given the old grumpy eyebrow by the staff who I could sense wanted us to just order and be gone. But you’re charging 5-8 euro for a pint, and there are no guarantees when you’re trying beer from a new country. So I had a couple of tasters of things I would have regretted buying a full serving of, and then I bought something else in a full serving which I did not enjoy and regretted very much. So there were pale ales and stouts and those were fine enough but the lagers seems to stink, and there was no cask ale to be had. So, impression for me are about how easy it is for me to get off a plane and drinking something enjoyable made in-country. The bottle fridge selection looked outstanding, with a lot of De Ranke and Cantillon products. Go nuts, but I just want a flavorful beer with no fermentation defects in a large serving vessel.

The second best place in Helsinki and in top 5 in Finland. Great location, big size and interesting beers. Changing taps and interesting bottles, but not the cheapiest place.

Was told this was the place for lambics in Helsinki and it delivered. Lots of Cantillon and others (lots of American craft too) in bottle and loads of taps going with locals and even small batch US stuff. Friendly staff and busy with locals on a Sunday evening. Food pretty limited but decent bar grub. Pricey maybe, but then again, this is Helsinki.

Visited on March 8, 2013. Didn’t eat, but we were a large group that stayed for most of the night drinking plenty of beers. Good service, nice staff and other visitors. Good beer selection. Kept paying with my card, no idea about prices, but I’m guessing high since Helsinki is not cheap and they had great beers. Big place and great opening hours.

Biggish bar with a good selection. Although quite big, it gets easily crowded (& noisy) during afterwork- hours and weekend evenings. Centrally located, good selection. Ok ambiance. Haven’t tried the food.

Nice place with good ambiance, large selection and knowing as well as friendly service. Conveniently located smack in the center of the city. Tends to get crowded in the evenings though and the prices are a bit steep. Good range of beers on tap though the general selection tends to change a little slowly these days. About twenty taps, half "dark", half light. Two rotating taps, two monthly changing taps (one random, one Finnish craft) shared with other Oluthuone locations and one rotating Suomenlinna tap.

Large selection of beers, and there’s lots of room. During the evenings it’s really crowded (especially on Wed/Fri) and the staff is a bit overwhelmed. The food is decent. The overall ambience is nice. A bit expensive, but the location is great.

Quite large and quite large selection of beers to. Finish beers some 12, bit dissapointing, but they are good beers. Staff is friendly, but seems bit overworked. Could be my non-existing Finish.

Pretty good, larger than you initially think and quite full of nooks and crannies. Decent selection for a one off visit.
