The place should be called Adventures in Wine. beer makes up maybe 20% of the stock. They had a few regional craft and Belgian selections but mostly in six pack. I’m not sure how much the stock rotates here. We visited in December and they still had a lot of Octoberfest beers. That being said they also had a lot of Founders Breakfast Stout still floating around. They also didn’t have much in the way of sixers or bombers. If you’re in town this is a decent enough place to buy beer but not worth making a special trip for.

I ended up here completely on accident when I excited the interstate to use some of McDonald’s Wi-Fi. I’m glad I stopped in because I had much better beer luck here than I was about to have in Spartanburg for the evening. Adventures in Wine and Beer has a lot of potential. Most of the store is devoted to wine but there certainly is attention paid to the beer selection. Everything is available in singles. The selection is adequate with plenty of regionals, imports and micros, nothing too crazy but a good representation of what is usually available at better stores in Western NC. The only real problem here is that craft beer obviously doesn’t move too fast off these shelves. Make sure to check date stamps before making a purchase. I scored a relatively fresh four pack of Founders Breakfast stout and a single of the Highland Grove Park Abbey at a reasonable price.

Great new place in Hendersonville. Best beer selection in a 4 county area. Carries great wine too but beer selection is new for this county.
