Very cool environment, sit in front of mash and lauter tuns at the bar. Good selection of their beers on tap with scratch beers available. Proper glassware on all beers. If a fan of Troegs this is a must visit.

$5 guided tour well worth the price, glass + samples including a beer right off the bottling line and 1 out of a bright tank. Tasting room is nice and service is good. Fun times and a must not miss.

Troegs new facility in Hershey is a quick jaunt off the interstate that is worthy of a visit. The tap room is very large and open with brewing equipment behind the bar. There were 5 beers on, including one Scratch series. I tried the food, which is pre-made sandwiches, and they were good, but nothing special. There is a self-guided tour available and a large gift shop where you can mix and match singles, though do not expect to find any Scratch beers.

While I miss the convenience of the old Harrisburg location, the new Hershey tasting room is a huge improvement. They recently began offering sandwiches ... I N/A’d food in the ratings because I have not been there since they added food. But if they are as good as they sound in the description I have seen, then they will be a very nice addition. The new room is very large, and I would not be surprised if they eventually evolve the location into more of a full brewpub with longer hours and more food to take advantage of the tourist and post concert/game traffic in Hershey. As for the beer, well, it is fresh Troegs ... what more needs be said. I am guessing some might rate them low on selection because all they offer is Troegs beers. But the brothers brew some of the best beers I have tried from any brewery. There’s nary a dud in the regular lineup and it is rare that I don’t enjoy their one-off scratch series offerings. As close as I might come to a complaint would be a wish that Nugget Nectar be available year around. In giving them the max rating on selection, I take into consideration that I would not judge a brewery’s tasting room the same way I might a beer bar or store. Two thumbs way up.

Went there about a month ago to their new facility. The place is large - there’s a lot of floorspace that’s empty - probably a good sign. We kind of just meandered around the place when we first entered - went to the gift shop and then went "backwards" though the "self-guided" brewery tour.

The place has a *huge* tasting room, a large bar and plenty of tables. They have their 5 standards on tap (though Dreamweaver was out, what?). They had a few specials (such as Mad Elf) and a few experimental brews (Scratch 52 and 53). Food truck is outside (and not affiliated with them directly, but food can be ordered and brought into the tasting room. The tasting room does provide the obligatory pretzels and $10 microwaved Salisbury Steak to adhere to Pennsylvania’s DRACONIAN beer laws.

A bit impersonal compared to the other beer tours I’ve been on, but there was no cost and we could take our time throughout the entire process. Certainly is the only thing worth visiting in Hershey PA.

Free tour on a Saturday in August 2011 - if you want to take the tour, be sure to call ahead and sign up for a slot! They always fill right up. Ambiance is great, there are some free samples on tap of what’s currently available, as well as one or two of their ’scratch series’ of experimental beers. Most tours are run by the Troegner Brothers themselves, but our week we got ’Moose’ (one of the actual brewers). Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and approachable - the tour takes you right through the actual brewhaus, fermenting tanks, and aging tanks, as well as the bottling line. Beers available for purchase after the tour at local bar prices. I was hoping for free :-) But, great tour! I hope they continue with this at their new and coming facility at Hershey.

Stopped by on a road trip to NYC. I loved the feel of the taproom, but it stinks that it is only open till 5 pm, we had to push our trip to make it on time. The decorations use a lot of bottle caps, which is really cool. I would have liked to have seen a bigger tap selection, but since we were still driving after we left, we probably didn’t need anything else. When you visit BUY A GROWLER! they have blank swing top style for only $16 ($5 to fill it the first time, do that too if you are able to store and drink) Overall, it was a fun experience, and I’m excited to see the new facility.

stopped by the tasting room for a few beers on the way up to Selin’s Grove with my dad. Nice selection of swag and beer with good prices. Very friendly staff willing to talk beer. Had a good time here.

I visited on a Saturday and the tasting room was packed. Apparently the tasting room is almost ways packed on Saturday. They had six taps including a scratch beer which is experimental in nature and only available at Troegs. The service was as good as it could be considering they had more people in the room then it’s comfortably designed to handle. The pint prices were average but the freshness of the beer more than makes up for it. The sixes prices are what you’d expect to pay at a PA bar but the cases were more reasonably priced. I would have loved to have taken a tour of the brewery but there were no spots left. The prices in the gift shop were fairly reasonable as well. I can’t wait for the new brewery to open in Hershey this summer. I’ll definitely revisit then.

It’s no secret to people who know me that I love Tröegs. Tröegenator was the first craft beer I ever drink, and I still try to drink their beers as often as I can. At my wedding in a few months in California, I’m going to have someone bring me a couple cases of a Tröegs beer. They’ll always be my hometown brewery. Stopped by the brewery/tasting room again just recently when I was in town for the holidays. The ambiance is nice. First of all, it’s in Harrisburg, an awesome city. Second, the interior is really warm and comforting. There are barrels used as tables, quite a few chairs, and some nice bottle cap art. There’s also a place where you can drink samples or pints or fill growlers, and a nice gift shop where I picked up a T-shirt and a Tröegenator mug. The beers are great of course, but I’d like to see a wider selection available. When I was there, they just had most of their standard lineup and a couple Scratch beers. An awesome surprise though was that they had Splinter Black for sale (a couple weeks after the release)! My fiancee was there with me, so I was able to buy two bottles (one per person). There are also sixpacks and whatnot available to go. Tröegs, just like the Avant song, you will always be my first love. See you next time I’m in the ’burg. Looking forward to the new awesome facility in Hershey!
