Not a great beer selection, but some interesting items. There are several better places on the island. Honestly on Hilton Head expect to need to travel to two or three different stores to get an overall good selections. If you’re looking for more French varieties go here. For barely wines, stouts, and Belgians try some of the other shops around. Just depends on what you are looking for.

This place was okay. Their wine/spirits side was actually fairly impressive for the island. The beer side was very mediocre. Prices were relative to Hilton Head. Pretty high. Liked the fact the stuff was refrigerated, but selection was pretty lacking. Service was nice, and if you’re looking for an island wine spot, this may be it. But I honestly found just as much beer at the Piggly Wiggly. There is a good spot on the island for beer, close to Piggly Wiggly, actually, but, for the life of me, I just can’t remember it. Boo, me.

Pretty nice selection as far as the Island is concerned, some interesting belgians and some interesting micros. The beer side is kind of small and clostrophobic but the woman working there was very nice.

One side is the beer, the other is the wine/liquor. A few decent bottles available, but unless you’re new to rating, you’ve had a lot of them. Franziskaner, Chimay, Duvel, 3 Monts, some Hepworth and Sam Smiths and a few sixers of local (Palmetto, Sweetwater). Prices a bit high, and although the selection is better than the grocery stores, it’s nothing to get your hopes raised for. For a better six pack selection (no singles), go to the Fresh Market.

Place rating #105. Throughout my vacation at HHI I was stopping in and out of liquor stores looking for something, ANYTHING interesting. And so far the best that I found was the beer selection at the Piggly WIggly that was mostly typical grocery store stuff. But finally I stopped in this place and was happy to find that they had 2 separate sections. To the left was BEER and to the right was wine and what not. But they actually had beer. Mostly consisted of macros but I was very very suprised to find a good selection from Victory and other southeastern US breweries. The clerk mentioned that thei selction is very hit or miss but when they get good stuff it tends to stick around. He also mentioned that the SC law separates beer and wine sales. Thats why most beer is sold at grocery stores. Since they have one "store" dedicated to beer they can get around that. Probably the only beer store on the island and may be worth a stop by.
