| zizzybalubba (68), Elizabeth City, North Carolina | | May 17, 2012 Full Sail Brewing is located in beautiful Hood River along the Columbia River. The taproom is one of the nicest I have been to at a brewery. The service was quick even though it was crowded. The selection featured the in-season offerings as well as a few surprises (a vintage barleywine comes to mind). I went on the brewery tour and it is amongst the best I have been on. While I am only a fan of certain Full Sail beers this should be at the top of your list for great breweries to visit. | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | July 20, 2011 Very cool tasting room and a first class tour of the facility. Free pint glass at the end of the tour when I visited in the Spring of 2009. | clarkgriswold (1), Alabama does not count - explanation | | February 15, 2011 Fantastic beer line up, great food with one on of the best views from the brew pub you will ever see. A must visit if you can make it. | | pdxlover (12), Washington | | October 3, 2010 I always forget just how good Full Sail is - they make a bunch of good standard beers that I mostly ignore (except for old boardhead, which I search out), but then I will get to the tap room or somewhere that has more than the Session and pale ales and remember why I like them so much. When i was there the fresh hop ale that was on tap was excellent, as was the Malty bomb & imperial stout. But the really great "find" for me was the Sanctuary - they call it a belgian style double but it comes off much more malty the most of the doubles out there - really excellent beer. The tap room itself is pretty plain - decent service but a really non-descript room with one wall covered in their merchandise. | | bearlybrewed (19), Colorado | | February 7, 2010 Overall a good experience with good food and beer. Visited the evening they tapped their bourbon barrel aged porter and had a sampler of Makers Mark, Stranahans, Four Roses and thier blend. All were tasty however cared the least for their blend. A bit crowded and loud. Great service and good food. Asked for some stickers for my business collection and they seemed to be annoyed with that and a little stingy. Most businesses freely give them as it is great advertisement in my liquor business for their product. | | hayduke (10), Eureka, California | | March 19, 2009 [ Updated April 11, 2009 ] Most of taps were pouring the usual main offerings with a few specials. The waitperson realized I was a beer geek, so brought out a sample of a new brew that was just tapped (happened while were there eating) of Irish Stout. Good stuff. Service was good, and the bacon burger was fantastic. The 22’s were only $3. Overall good beers ,good food, and good service. This is what a brewpub is about. I did not have time for the brewery tour but hope to do this next time at this very friendly place. | | spikester (11), Salem, Oregon | | February 13, 2009 Take the brewery tour and get a free logo glass and a free pint. A bit corporate and sports bar ambience, service was good for me. The usual Full Sail product on tap with some seasonals and specials to be tried. Bombers usually go for $3 and sixers for $6.99. Special releases can be as high as $9 per bomber so ask first. Usually if it has gold foil at the top of the bottle it is the higher priced beer. If you enjoy what FS has to offer I highly recommend it. | | shadey (45), Rochester, New York | | October 2, 2008 Great place. The service was really extraordinary. The bartender gave us the rundown on everything they had on tap as well as some history of the lupulin fresh hop beer series. At the time, it was made with Rainier Hops, and it was disappointing to find out the Cascade version was only about a week away. | | BlackDonald (59), Boise, Idaho | | August 3, 2008 Always a treat coming here, especially when they are brewing, man I never get tired of that smell of fresh cooked grains. Great view overlooking the river. I have not tried the food in all the times I have stopped here. Always have a few first run taps and seasonals, occasionally a brewery only special which is always nice. | | BeerFanDan17 (23), Land O Lakes, Florida | | July 30, 2008 Just an incredible place. Ambiance is greatbeautiful scene overlooking the Hood River. Selection is hard to rate as its all Full Sail except for a few other crafts or specialties. The food was very good. I recommend the beer basted baby back ribs. |
