Nice little Icehouse stop. Some good taps (a lot of standard Texas stuff and a few bottles from out of state). 3 or so rotator taps including a Real Ale Pils and a Saison from Ranger Creek. Cocktails were pretty solid as well. Friendly staff, parking available. Food was good. More of a cocktail bar, but a decent one.

A bit hard to find but worth it once you get there. Only 3 taps (Southern Star and Real Ale) but at least 50/75 nice bottles. Food was good and the atmosphere was laid back and cool. I’ll go back just because they had SS on tap.

Decent amount of parking. Nice atmosphere, got that ice house feel with the outdoor seating, but there’s also indoor seating available. Food was good, gonna give it another try, though it did seem a little pricy for what it was. But good selection of beers, and a goodly amount of local Texas stuff too.

The drive up was a bit disorienting - I don’t know Houston and I was thrown off driving through an area of sheds and warehouses. Beavers was easy enough to find, and quite busy at happy hour on a Thursday. Smallish bar single room of dining tables and a big deck. Only had 3 taps going, but all three were local and solid. The bottle list is solid, and should have something new for most folks. Food smelled great, and looked even better. I had a bit of the BBQ and it was great. This seemed like a very “hip” place and had a great vibe. The slogan “just south of hooters” needs to go, unless this is an ironic joke.

Wonderful new addition to Houston and the beer scene. Although this is an ice house, it is very much a unique ice house. Monica Pope has once again done a great job adding her twist to Houston history. The beer selection is solid, with a number of impressive bottles (Belgians, IPAs, Impy Stouts) as well as a good selection of Texas beers on tap, including, at this time, Southern Star. Food is fantastic, with ribs, brisket, chicken, bugers and more...all with a unique charm and flavor. People are mostly neighborhood folks...relaxed, friendly and casual. The deck outside is a recent addition that’s perfect on a spring day or a muggy summer night. The mixologists behind the counter know their beers as well as their spirits. If you like Onion Creek you’ll love Beaver’s.
