Whole Foods Market with "everything" you want as snack to your beer and a realy decent selection of beers. Without the beers seams to be put into the next empty shelf and you have to go treasure hunting to get the goodies. Dust on som botles should inicate that this is a better place for beers for storeing than the beers more on the hoppy side.

as grocery stores go, this is excellent. somewhat less awesome as a beer store, though there’s quite a selection. service was non-existent. prices were hit and miss. a few things were cheaper than the other stores in the area, but some were significantly more. very limited selection of singles.

A slighlty untidy supermarket, but they carry a great selection of beers from all over the US plus quite a few imports. Many of the usual suspects are available, but I did also find many more unsampled beers than I could possibly bring back home or finish when I was in Houston. Some sake available too, but the quality didn’t seem impressive. Bought a couple though.

A upscale grocery with tons of everything. Beer selection is pretty good with decent pricing. Geeks man the area who know what they are talking about. A pretty swank and fun place to shop.

It’s pretty much HEB’s version of a Whole Foods. They seemed to have a solid beer selection and lots of food. I don’t have too much of a comparison for the prices, but they weren’t absurd from my perspective. Solid spot. No 12 oz singles, which is unfortunate for the hotel stayers like myself.

About as bourgeois a grocery store as you’ll ever find, but if you like good cheese, salami, and beer, this is a place to go. Very decent selection of beer (not the best in Houston by any means) including some of the best varieties from TX.

Nice high end whole foods-like grocery. Good selection with many texas brews I have never run into. Also a nice selection of other american crafts (good to see deschutes). Prices were reasonable compared to FL.

A large high end grocery store that has a pretty good selection. I haven’t met a specific beer person during my visits. Selection is good but not the best in the city IMO. Prices are a touch steep but nothing out of the ordinary.

Layout is typical Central Market. Nice part of town with a good sized parking lot. Service is typical CM as is the food. Selection seems to be good with a bunch of TX breweries I hadn’t seen when I lived in North TX (about a year ago). Nothing too exceptional. My one complaint is that there is almost a complete lack of singles, even when compared to other Central Markets. (and they didn’t seem to be willing to break a 6 pack). A decent stop, but not quite at the level of goodness that the other North TX stores share for their respective areas. I feel that Specs probably ate into their craft beer business a few years ago.

Really nice grocery store with a really nice, well priced beer selection. Great food to be bought too.
