44 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 4/20 dfinney23 (22) Houston, Texas | December 28, 2011 Was charged $7 for a Brooklyn Brown despite the menu saying $5 because they "were losing money on it." A) You’re free to raise your prices but how about doing it *after* you’ve updated your menu. B) If you’re losing money selling a $9 (retail) six-pack for $30 you have other problems.
They were out of some of the more intriguing offerings, which seems to be a common with printed beer lists. Server was friendly and knew what they didn’t have and what additions weren’t on the menu. I didn’t have any food but looked like an extensive but uninspired list of typical bar food.
Ambiance was greatly hurt by the bowl game on TV. Here’s a hint -- nobody goes to a bar to *listen* to a game. |
