| Mora2000 (52), Dallas, Texas | | November 20, 2011 A great little place with a very nice beer tap. This place had Texas beers out the wazoo, with taps from Karbach, No Label, 512, Independence and Saint Arnold. The food menu looked very good, but all we had was an appetizer (which was a great local cheese plate) so I can’t really comment on any other items. The waitress we had was pretty knowledgeable about the beers on tap, which was a nice bonus. | | HumanBeing (10), Houston, Texas | | November 30, 2010 great hangout, good drinks and excellent food | | BeerRules (14), Houston, Texas | | November 6, 2010 Pretty cool place, seems like they are trying to emulate a central Texas feel (have signs of central Texas cities all around), which I am totally cool with. Brew selection was limited, but the food was pretty good. If you’re in the Heights this is a nice place to chill. | | rougeau13 (54), Texas | | September 10, 2010 Decent selection, more of a cafe ambiance, and good food. Not bad | | Zinister (52), Houston, Texas | | June 12, 2007 This is the only pub in Houston that reminds me of "old’ Austin before it was overrun with tech-geeks. Wide mix of people, which I like, as well as decent selection of beers...which I like even more. Service is spotty at times, but the food is pretty decent and it’s a good place to chill for a while. | | KAggie97 (213), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | | April 10, 2007 Located in the armpit of the Heights (and since this appears to be a hippy hangout, it’s a pretty hairy armpit). The ambiance is rustic, the clientele a mixture of granola crunchers, tree huggers, and accountants. And then there was me (rock star) and my fiancee (supermodel). The selection is surpisingly nice for such a Bohemian hangout- one would expect nothing but soy beer- but nothing spectacular. I had the breakfast the morning after I went here, and for the price ($20 for two kolaches, two coffees, and two bowls of granola cereal) it was not worth it. I think a requirement for employment is to have multiple piercings, a hair color other than that which you were born with, and a Ramones shirt. Serious about the latter- two of three bartenders were wearing them. | billism (9), Missouri City, Texas does not count - explanation | | March 31, 2007 I was here on a crowded pub crawl, so my experience may be a little skewed from the norm, however I really enjoyed this place. Decent beer selection, nice ambiance inside. Great patio area. I had the boiled crawfish, which was being cooked outside. It was probably the best I have had, so I hope that can be attributed to this location always serving good food. |
