What a stunning place! I reckon I counted 18 handpumps plus another 15 keg taps. A few are regulars, another half a dozen handpumps are regular to that brewery, though not to a specific beer, and the rest are guests. Friendly service and superb value too - there’s not much cask beer above £3 a pint, and you can get thirds as easily as halves. Three-third tasting flights are available for keg beers.

Located just outside the town centre, approximately about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The Grove is fairly unassuming from the outside. Inside it is a clean, contemporary 2-room pub. The beer selection is unbelievable! They have 18 hand-pulls from well-chosen breweries, such as Thornbridge, Mallinsons, Gadds, Buxton etc. 8 Key-kegs including Nøgne Ø, De Molen, BrewDog and Mikkeller and 5 Keg of mostly German beers. Also polypins of cider. They have a brilliant bottle list with an extensive world-wide selection. We opted for some BrewDog Bashah Reserve and AB:04. Good prices and I like the fact that all draft beer is available in third measures. Interesting bar snacks, which include a wide range of jerky and insects. Easily one of the best bars in the UK and probably one of the best I’ve ever been to.

This is a Great Bar in Huddersfield. A great range oif taps, a bottle list that amazing, and has been amazing and way ahead of the Pack for years. Great atmosphere

Cracking pub. Out of town a little way, so relies on locals and people knowing about it... and I’m glad I know about it. Tons of selection and reasonably priced (some high prices for the rarer/extravagant stuff). Loads of pumps, loads of bottles. All well displayed and prices shown. Nice selection of cider, lovely staff and clientèle. I’ll be back. Lots.

This place was ok. It had a good selection of cask and bottles (although didn’t have time for any of those). Convenient massive council carpark across the road. Had a family feel whenwe were there on a weekday afternoon, kids colouring in at one of the tables!

Ok, this is a proper little boozer, no frills, lots and lots of real ale and specialist stuff. Prices go from fair to the occasional ouch for the more unusual! Service was let down by an unexpected unwillingness to replace a pint of a colleague which was clearly past it’s best. Unforgivable in a real ale pub like this. In fact, while great choice I had to wonder on the level of cellar management as other pints were not as good as we hoped. Still, it’s a fine local.

Amazing selection of bottles from all over, all well priced. Around 18 cask ales + good selection of craft keg products. Over 100 whiskies too.

Visited here Saturday 23rd April 2011. Good start as the young lad behind the bar lets us bring our bikes right through the pub and out into the back garden to save having to faff about locking them up. Incredible range of beers, in fact I was gobsmacked at the choice, the bottled beer list was damn healthy too. Very friendly and helpful staff, great choice of beers with Mikkeller, De Molen, Gadds, Brewdog, Thornbridge etc on tap. I could have this as my local any day. Great place.

The bar here is split between 2 main rooms/areas, and there was a decent selection to be found on draught (I Hardcore you and Sierra Nevada Torpedo were on at the time of my visit) alongside a large range of UK cask ales. Good range of brewdog also, in the fridge, with some US bottles too. Some varied artwork on the walls. A proper pub and I’d be happy if this was my local.
