I went to this place after hearing people on ratebeer rave about their selection. Yes, they do have quite a big selection, but not very much of it is priced, and you have to climb through a lot of clutter to even see any of it. The staff wasn’t very helpful and felt annoyed that I was asking how much things were, despite that they weren’t not priced. Probably would save my time and just go to one of the other countless stores in the area.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but will shock you when you go inside. A spectacular selection of regional, national and international beers. Pretty convenient to I-65. Definitely worth a stop if nearby.

(Visited 03/2010): Parti-Pak is located on the south side of the city in the Southport area on Stop 11 Road. There is a small private lot out front. The place is honestly not much to look at from the outside. It resembles any number of convenience stores you pass without a thought that there may be a good beer selection inside. Thank goodness for websites that tell you about places like this! The inside is somewhat spacious with the beer selection taking up the right portion of the store. There are small shopping carts near the entrance which is handy. The beer is stocked on shelves in several aisles, with a cooler running along the wall. The beers are segmented generally by geography, with a solid selection of brews from Indiana and the Midwest. Brewers like Three Floyds, Oaken Barrel, Barley Island, Mad Anthony and Shoreline are represented, plus many other domestic micro breweries like Stone, Rogue etc. Pretty substantial selection of imports from Belgium, Germany, the UK etc as well. Pretty much everything in 6-packs is available to purchase in singles which is great. They also had a couple "Not For Sale" Beers behind the counter. Service was fine on our visit. We were asked if we needed help and were treated kindly at check out. Overall this is definitely the type of place I would make sure to hit on a visit to Indy.

A rather dusty warehouse type feel going on there. Selection is top notch, service is nonexistent although.

This place is awesome tons of beer stacked on shelves that go to the ceiling .sell beer by mixing your own sixer which is great.Only drawback is they dont display beer prices on 80 percent of there innventory

Huge selection of beer, but it is quite disorganized and there is no service to speak of. Said they had both Adam and Fred by Hair of Dog but they could not find the Adam. Other than the selection not much here.

big selection of beer, but it is very unkept, unorganized, and dirty with dust. some great frinds in the back of shelves due to the disorganization. bought more then 3 BAD OXIDIZED beers due to poor care. good selection but be careful what you get. chances are, if its an older vintage and its got a cork, its probably bad. much prefer the clean, slightly smaller selection at crown down the street.

I had the privilege of visiting the store today. From the exterior it looks like any other Indy liquor store, with the exception of the sign which promises "Biggest Specialty Beer Selection". After visiting inside I have to say they met the signs saying!!! Inside, the place is packed and cramped, floor to ceiling. The shelves were 6 high and isles of micro brews plus cooler spaces! The lady behind the counter was most helpful. There is a baffling array of beer here, but much of it appears to be quite old. I made my own six pack of micros and found out that they stock over 2100 different types of beer! DAMN. This place is my new favorite liquor store in Indy! Come check it out for yourself! You will be come a believer...

I used to live just up the road from here I can’t believe that I never visited this place! From the exterior it looks like any other Indy liquor store, with the exception of the sign which promises Biggest Specialty Beer Selection. Inside, the place is packed and cramped, floor to ceiling. After a few more years of beer drinking several of their aisles will be impassable to me. The lady behind the counter was most helpful, even recommending a nearby place where I could find a cheap glass to go with my fancy beer purchases. There is a baffling array of beer here, but much of it appears to be quite old. There were a lot of Christmas beers from the Christmas that was 10 months ago...not things that were meant to be aged. Caveat emptor on that one - don’t buy any beer with more than a light dusting (of dust). Still a cool place - I will likely revisit next time I’m in town.
