| jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | August 26, 2011 Kind of a random place on a residential street... they had 6 drafts and some leftover lambics... service was good, hot and knowledgeable... the beers were their regular line up so they sucked, but they offer a 3 and 6 size sampler... the decor is just weird, I felt like I was in a hippy coffee shop... ok but not a must see place | | Drake (295), Charlottesville, Virginia | | August 11, 2011 Located in a residential neighborhood. I found street parking to be easy. They have six beers on tap. I tried a sampler for $7.50 which is pretty good considering it amounts to about 2 pints. They had bottles of the lambics for sale but at $20 each, that was a bit too much for me. Growler fill prices are solid, and they put a static decal over the label if you use an outside growler, which means they didn’t ruin a growler of mine, a beloved growler of mine, like Blue Lab did. They serve only Upland beers, which are generally solid. They serve pretzels and have food trucks come by, though I was too late for that. The decor is very eclectic with a random smattering of seating options which almost lead to a communal feeling throughout the place. If I ever have more time to spend in Indy I will totally have a beer in their school desk. Hah! I could totally see making this my local if I lived here. | | Tmoney99 (331), Cincinnati, Ohio | | June 25, 2011 Small sampling and growler fill location with difficult street parking. Good selection and service. Worth a quick stop for samples or growler fills. | | Block (28), West Lafayette, Indiana | | June 22, 2011 Great ambiance. Flights of 3 or 6 beers with a decent selection. Small place and sometimes crowded. A good place to stop by for a few beers or samples. | | kiefdog (118), Tampa, Florida | | February 24, 2010 Small but cool and hip location just north of downtown. We really enjoyed the décor which included a TV aquarium, a blue sequeoin guitar, random furniture including a secondhand purple sofa, bottles hanging from chains, recycled wood bar area. Very cozy feel, and when we arrived 30 minutes after opening there were several patrons enjoying beer and playing cards and games. Sampler was reasonably priced and growler fills were priced right as well. Definitely worth a stop when in the area. Note: I was disappointed that I purchased what was labelled as a growler of their wheat beer and when we got home we found out it was actually their pale ale. | | tjthresh (83), Greenfield, Indiana | | December 4, 2009 Very small, but I don’t think they expect people to come in and hang out forever. Cool growler fill contraption. Nice folks. Decent beer. | | kazzell (10), Indiana | | November 30, 2009 Chiefly selling growlers of Upland brewing co. also serving flights, pints only on Sunday/Monday.
Selling regulars and seasonals.
Great small intimate atmosphere, lots of locals and regulars but very welcoming.
They CO2 pressurize the growlers and O2 seal the caps so they stay good for 3 weeks!!! |
