One of the best selections in the UK, but youíll pay through the teeth for it!
Really impressively curated tap list, with keg and cask well represented. Great mix of styles on offer at all times, and representing breweries from across the whole globe. Best bottle selection in the city.
Old-skool pubby vibe on the most part, with dark greens, satins, and wood panelling. Nice fireplace and a good little beer garden/yard.
Service can be fairly clinical: there to serve, not chat shit. Fair enough.
Burgers on offer, they look on the nice side of naughty.
A proper beer-focused destination.
2015-09-23. Love the atmosphere, which feels much more traditionally pubby than Clerkenwell, but still refined and polished. The beer selection is solid with some decent offerings on tap and cask, and bottles are impressive albeit pricey. Some music starts up at some point and seems to shift between trad music and bluesy American Folk ( "Honky tonk blues"). Servers were friendly, and accomodated my request for a half-portion of pork scratchings so I could try the maple flavoured kind. (Very nice.) Had some good suggestions about the beer. I had a seat in one of a pair of big comfy chairs in front of the bar. Small patio. Beware the small step on the way to the bathroom, I almost fell every time I went to the bathroom! Tough to describe but this was my favorite of the Craft Beer Co. pubs I visited on this trip. Good balance of atmosphere and beer selection.
Smaller than Clerkenwell, with far less selection, but lots of interest on the menu. Bar man was a bit irritating, preching about what sours beer are about while not even knowing how lambic is made. Well, everytng else was good. Imports are quite expensive.
On the street directly behind the Hilton Hotel on the City Road, this is a small but relaxing pub that packs in the drinks on its tiny L-shaped bar in the corner of the first area as you enter. Itís a cosy open plan three room affair with soft furnishings and soft colours throughout. Thereís a couple of comfortable chairs around a fireplace in the first, a greater number of places to sit in the adjoining front room, and a greater capacity in the rear area thatís a little more spartan in design but includes diagrams on the brewing process and a beer wheel diagram full of tasting note terminology. Thereís a fairly substantial, and equal number of cask and keg ales available with a clear focus on microbreweries from up and down the country.
Visited the 17th April 2015 - A very nice place, very cosy witha huge beer selection and a friendly staff. Really great selection with presence of many style and many breweries, with good price. You can also buy bottle and take away. The staff is friendly and experimented and will help you for sure. About the atmostphere one of the best place I went in London. I really recommend this place. About the food there is a kitchen side but I didnít taste it.

My favorite pub in London so far. Been there 2 times during five day stay in London, both times in the evening and it was always pretty packed but still we managed to catch a table each time. A shame the terrace has to close early but the interior is even better, quite a traditional pub. The tap and cask selection is excellent and I havenít even gotten the chance to get to the bottles. Staff is very friendly and helpful (even the email communication is quicker than one would expect) and the burgers were excellent (to be expected if the meat is good for the HM The Queen), even the sauce choice was great. Still regret not finding one of them in the stores :/ They have live music as well.
Definite recommend and Iíll be visiting this one in the future thatís for sure!
So much cozier than the original one, I liked the fact I could tuck myself away round a quiet corner. Very impressive array of beers, alas lots were "off at the moment, but will be back soon", but I never came even close to running out of ticks, even with the help of 3 others. Staff friendly. I can believe this is absolute ticker heaven. Were I in central London, Iíd be here often.
Situated about 5 mins from Angel Tube station this is a fantastic muliti roomed venue.
You are greeted by a great selection of cask and craft beer from near and far, all kept well. Only criticism is the selection is sometimes from same cask brewers with not a massive variety range. Other than that a great place and a must if in this part of London
The most relaxing and cozy of the Craft pubs. Again, great selection as you come to expect from these guys. Burger menu available. Staff were friendly. Good location. Perfect for escaping the rain outside with a quiet pint and book to read.
