| DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | July 25, 2011 Below ground Brewpub, gotta deduct a point from ambience for having to go down a flight of stairs, with a nice sort of artsy vibe which is to say it has the ubiquitious exposed stone and a clean color scheme with background music that was probably imported from Eurooe and many of the servers have tats and unshaved pits. I found the service efficient yet pleasant. I found the beer absolutely shocking. It’s some of the worst I’ve ever had at a Brewpub. The ubiquitous hamburger was tasty, nicely prepared taking advantage of local ingredients. (I’m pretty sure that’s bullshit but it sounds good.) in addition to 5 of their own on tap they have 15 taps of mostly craft. This is a nice place so if you come here, trust me when I say this, you’ll want to sample one of those. | randomjuice290 (3), does not count - explanation | | February 4, 2011 The beer brewed on site is terrific. It’s fresh and exciting, especially the raspberry jalapeno ale, first discovered during the 2010 Ithaca Brew Fest. Basically this place isn’t afraid to try anything new. With a lot of great craft beer bars nearby in downtown Ithaca, this place holds its own not only with it’s own beer but with a list of other craft beers as well. The food is a bit pricey but you’ll be getting their take on classic American comfort food. Don’t expect to be told what food to pair with what dish. They do update their menu every day, a major plus, however, the staff doesn’t seem to be incredibly willing or knowledgeable about the beer. I’d recommend this place for an already converted craft beer lover who loves to support small brewpubs and try something you can’t get anywhere else. Great little place. | | alobar (43), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | July 24, 2010 Basement location. Stone walls. Decent ambience. Food is outstanding and in fact the reason to visit here. Only had 5 of their beers on tap. Sampler was adequate. Chocolate cherry porter was served too cold and became an excellent beer when it warmed. Waitress was okay.
