Nice place with pretty good food and passable beer. It’s a clean upscale brew pub. The beer fresh and had a decent range. I would get bored if I had to drink there often but for a random business trip this was a good spot to have dinner a flight of their beers and a few pints. The service was super friendly and fantastic.

I went in on a Friday at opening time, and sat at the bar. Service was great from there. Food came quickly and the beer was very nice; better than I expected with GB beers. Talked to Aaron, the brewer and he told me about some of their casks and events they do with homebrewers. The place far exceeded my expectations, and the beer was pretty solid, including the unique beers (bourbon barrel IPA and a porter, too) that were not usually on.

Nice place, decent beer, good food. But certainly has that chain brewery feel.

Seven Bridges Grille in Jacksonville is a a good place to go for a beer or a meal, with a friend, with a date, or with a client. Its a place that hits that happy medium between inexpensive and high quality, and comfortable and classy. Its a well known local gathering place for all ages, especially young to middle age professionals. The food and appetizers are excellent, and the house brewed beers are some of the best in the area. Eric Luman, the brewmaster, has developed a reputation as one of the top brewers in Jacksonville, and I should know.. I have tried almost all of his beers. Eric and the brewpub are strong supporters of Jacksonville’s CASK brewclub, providing a meeting venue and special perks for members. No growlers or bottle beer available to go, but this is due to the corrupt Jacksonville laws regulating what they can sell and serve on premises. Definitely one of the better beer-related places to go in Jacksonville.

Sadly we were headed home at the time, but stopped in for some chow and beer. Corporate chain setting, lots to look at here guys. Vast menu. Pizza decent can’t remember what the wife had. Massive Nachos for starters. All beers given on sample tray.

Typical chain brewpub in the Gordon Biersch vein. Nothing outside of the standard lineup and Summer What seasonal but they did have a Bourbon Brown tapping listed on the board for a few days after my visit.

Micropub feel with a pretty large bar, lots of seating, patio, and dark wood. Mash Tun, Boil Kettle, Fermenters, and Bright Tanks are visible through glass. Solid beers on tap with the Pilsner, IPA, Stout and Brown Ale (in that order) shining through. The seasonals and barrel aged beers are outstanding but are not on tap continuously. The beers served on the handpull beer engine are very nice as well. Even though this is a Gordon Biersch establishment, the head brewer is allowed to have enough creativity to make it worth your while.

Wow, nice looking somewhat upscale place and by far the swankiest brewpub in this part of the state. They had 6 house brew offerings during my visit. I saw barrels stored away in the room with the bright tanks. I’m guessing they’re barrel aging some of the beer. Very cool. It is a bit odd seeing the brew system high above upstairs. This is a pretty big place with dozens of booths and tables with patio options as well. I need to try the food next time I stop by. It looks really good. If I make it to this part of the state again I’m definitely stopping in again.

Located next to a big Hilton in what seems a business area with a theater next door. More corporate feel, part of the Gordon Biersch chain. Average beer choice limited to the 7 Bridges. Didn’t eat there, but the food seemed quite appetizing. Not much ambiance to speak of, bunch of tv’s playing boring sports, dim lighting. Service was nothing special, the big corporate smile that is supposed to make everyone feel at home with the autotbot repeating the 7 Bridges history. Nice and clean inside.

Tried a cask conditioned IPA; strong dark body but with a thin pallet and wondereful creamy head. complex hoppy start to finish. I liked the price and quality, did not try food. I was there at happy hour. If its like Rock Bottom in Atlanta (seems to be same franchise) they offer a membership and you get your own numbered glass that is 4 extra oz. for same price; good deal if you live in the area.
