redstache (2), Kingsport, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | March 2, 2012 Great selection for the area. Several beers on tap and growlers are cheap. Wish it was in a better location. | BadAprilia1000 (1), Johnson City, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | November 7, 2011 Cool place for Johnson City. Good selection of beers, the Libation Station has a nice selection of under 6% beers(Stupid TN beer laws). However the Plaza has a very nice selection of High Gravity beers for Johnson City. The Plaza is located right next to the Libation Station. The station has a very nice cigar lounge for members only. Awesome Humidor full of cigars. Cool place, definitely my favorite in JC,TN. | DavidRoop (1), Bristol, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | October 10, 2011 Very friendly staff. Owner personally meets the clientele and is always friendly. They really have a passion for beers and cigars. Ambiance of the new cigar room is phenomenal. This is a place you’d expect in a much larger city. Nothing in this area even compares to it. They get ALL my business for cigars and craft breweries. | Inshanity (1), does not count - explanation | | October 27, 2010 Excellent selection of beer and cigars, next door in same building also has a great wine selection as well. The beers they keep on tap are always impossible to find in bottles except for variety packs and alot of luck. The hoppyum is a must try as is serveral porters and stouts they regularly keep flowing. If you like a great beer and a great cigar this is a must visit! | BanjoDude (3), Kingsport, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | May 28, 2010 [ Updated July 27, 2010 ] Nice store...probably the best selection of beer in the Tri-Cities. The beer is reasonably priced. I prefer the attached liquor store (due to the high %age beers there: Stone Brewing, Ommnegang, Chimay, etc.), but this place is a good store with an approachable staff. 70 | brewguy99 (1), Tennessee does not count - explanation | | May 28, 2010 Definitely the best selection in the tri-cities area and worth a stop if you’re in the vicinity. | | NachlamSie (357), Tennessee | | March 16, 2010 This is a good sized beer store divided in half: high alcohol on one side. The liquor side has as good a selection as you’re gonna get anywhere in east TN with mostly Belgian imports. I didn’t see anything I couldn’t get in Knoxville. The beer side of the store was more impressive with a few rarer things especially counting the taps available for growler fills. Foothills Hoppyum, Highland Black Mocha Stout to name a couple. All the growlers except Lindeman’s were less than $10 per fill. Single bottles are available for most of the selection. As far a I’m concerned, this is the only beer store in Johnson City | | fluffy (25), St Petersburg, Florida | | June 4, 2009 for a small town beer store, this place is pretty amazing. great selection, better than ive seen in bigger stores. sure, half of it is a cigar store, but still. great selection. prices arent bad either, given all the options. | | Drake (295), Charlottesville, Virginia | | March 15, 2009 [ Updated March 8, 2010 ] Tennessee has messed up beer laws, so the low gravity stuff is here with the high gravity stuff next door in a different but associated business, which is convenient. Lots of beers here. Locals, and a few midwestern beers not available in Virginia is nice. Large selection of singles, and good prices. The guy working was nice. Decent parking. I’ve heard this is the best shop in the area, and I can’t imagine that to be untrue. If you’re travelling I-26 definitely make this a stop. | | nick76 (91), Tampa, Florida | | January 6, 2009 This is a GREAT beer store. By far the best beer store in a very large radius. The ambiance is nothing special but the service is great! very friendly and helpful but not especially beer savvy. The selection rivals any in the Tampa area with everything from the common stuff in six packs to singles of micro brews. The prices are very reasonable. Overall a great beer store the only problem is that they have some old stick so check the dates. |
