I have to admit, I’m rather partial to Depot St as it is my local brewery and I’m usually in there twice a week. I’m not sure what other folks expect from a small tasting room for ’ambiance’, but there is a bocce court and large patio with an outdoor fireplace and there is now an upstairs seating area that is a lot ’homier’ than the tables downstairs. 1 BBL pilot system is up and running!

There have been some recent additions to the brewery, like the bocce ball court and larger sitting area. So the "ambiance" has improved. Value is great. Service is top notch and staff is knowledgeable.

At $10 total for a growler+fill, you can’t go wrong. They had all of their seasonal available on tap an they dude gave me free samples of each before committing to a growler. the wierder beers were kind of lame, but the Pullman Porter was fantastic. I wish i had instead bought a growler of that. Location isn’t very accessible and it’s not very homey either.

This is a small place, but give a good price a value to there beers. $3 for a growler is a great deal! They have several nice beers, and when in East TN I try to alwasy get a fill. The folks are always glad to sample. No atmosphere, well not what many would expect, but still a cool place cause it really gives you a raw brewery feel. Not plastered facade.

Small brewery, relatively easy to find, offered samples of everything and a small informal tour while I was there, only one there right when they opened on Saturday. Picked up a growler and had a good chat, will definitely go back and I wish them luck. 8 on draft. I thought all of their beers were on the above average side.

Very small brewery in a very small but picturesque town. Very friendly. They offered samples of everything. They offer bottles of three beers and growlers of anything else for $10. Cash and check only. Normally 6-7 beers available but they had just kicked a couple before I got there. It’s a working brewery so you may have to poke around before you find someone. Parking looks like it could be an issue, though I doubt there will ever be droves of people here. No stellar beers while I was there, but all were solid. Glad I went out of my way to visit.

During open business hours, Depot Street will sell kegs and growlers. Growlers are only 4 dollars and 6 dollars to fill. The one part time gentleman was working when I stopped by and he was very helpful and friendly. There’s a very small tasting area set up near the front of the establishment. This is a pretty simple operation located off the beaten path. I was staying in Johnson City and we had lunch in Jonesborough, so it wasn’t too far out of the way. If I were in town again and they had something new, I’d get my growler refilled.
