Gr8fulTed (5), Leawood, Kansas does not count - explanation | | November 12, 2009 Best micro tour I’ve been to: Boulevard has upgraded the tour process by expanding the meeting area with a new hospitality room.
The go-to beer this tour was the Special Reserve Nutcracker, with a very savory hoppy aftertaste. Harvest Daze is now out, in the Smokestack series. It’s a wheat wine beer with a good punch. | | sroberts (26), Columbia, Missouri | | September 7, 2009 Great establishment, great beer, and knowledgeable staff. | | aaronphazel (10), Missouri | | August 19, 2009 Great tour. Great people. Great beer. | stevefilb (4), Missouri does not count - explanation | | August 3, 2009 the rotating smokestack selection is where it’s at | | CanIHave4Beers (56), Des Moines, Iowa | | May 21, 2009 As far as beer tours go, this is a pretty cool one. The new facility is really something to see and the beer is fantasic. They’ve always got a few test products for you to try. I got to try the pils and the Tank 7 Saison which was phenomenal. The time I went they had one of the brewers pulling taps so he was very informative and could answer about any question about any of the beers. I can’t understand why in the world the tour books up so far in advance but I enjoyed myself none the less.
| aaronhaywood (5), Kansas City, Missouri does not count - explanation | | May 6, 2009 One of my favorite places in the whole world. Doesn’t take as long as the budweiser tour but you get better beer in the end. Only complaint is that had to book tour about 3 months in advance. This won’t be my last tour here. | ccoburn (3), Leawood, Kansas does not count - explanation | | April 11, 2009 Went on a personal tour with some friends... head brewer was helpful in explaining some stuff, didn’t seem like he had time though... beglian style beers could use some work.. esp. with the masterbrewer from Belgium | | Zinister (49), Houston, Texas | | March 15, 2009 Had a tasting in the workers lounge. Great looking brewery with fantastic staff and very tasty beers. | oukami (5), Lenexa, Kansas does not count - explanation | | February 11, 2009 Difficult to get in, unless you can go during the week, tours need to be scheduled about 2-3 months in advance. Tap selection varies. They always have their regular beers and you sometimes get lucky with something they are working on.
The mustard is awesome. | | theisti (114), Leawood, Kansas | | April 21, 2008 [ Updated October 20, 2009 ] I have done the tour several times. Boulevard has a very pretty and unique brewery. The tour itself is very enjoyable, always a good laugh, and great beers. You get samples at the end of the 30-45 minutes tour. On sample currently are all the regular lineup, plus one of the Smokestacks. Blvd has also cycled in some experimental beers here as well, so never really know what you will get. Tours have been selling out crazy early recently, so make sure you plan ahead. |
