3 reviews for Bishops Arms
| yngwie (82), Kristiansand, Norway | | August 5, 2009 Quite similar to other Bishop’s Arms pubs considering interior and beers. Had a nice bear burger (sic) and a few interesting surprises beerwise. The staff was mostly very friendly and cheerful, but didn’t always handle busy times very well. Sure a place you must visit when in Karlstad, as most of the restaurants only serve mediocre or really boring beers. And I like the rotating Swedish taps at BA. Some of the prices are a bit high, but most is reasonable. | | MrBeachtwig (10), Sandared, Sweden | | January 24, 2009 Visited the place once only (March 2008). Eventhough it was on a Saturday evening the place was quite empty. A lot of taps, but several were not on. The selection was OK, but not as good as other Bishops Arms I have visited. Good selection on Bottle. | | Ljunkan (10), Karlstad, Sweden | | January 4, 2009 [ Updated August 21, 2009 ] A quite good pub for being in Karlstad. Always some interesting micros on tap and few bottles. Närke beers is quite common, even though they seem to begin rotate between diffrent Swedish micros: Hantverksbryggeriet, Jämtlands, Ocean, Nils Oscar etc. A few Nögne, Brewdog and Traquair among the imports. The "Bishops Toast" is recomended also - quite cheap and goes well with a Örebro Bitter or similary which they tend to have quite often... |
