The Britannia’s a quiet Young’s pub located in a residential part of Kensington. The ambiance is a bit sterile and corporate. The pub clearly presents itself as a gastropub, with a large dining room in the back. The service is fine, cheery. There’s a selection of about 5 Youngs beers on cask plus a number of "premium" macros on keg. The bottle selection is pretty basic. The value’s pretty standard for the area. Overall, I’d only recommend a visit if you’re in the area and looking to try traditional Youngs beer.

A modern-styled place with different sections. The styling is ok, but maybe a little bit too cold and not modern enough for me, if that’s what you choose to go with. It kind of feels like the place doesn’t exactly know what it wants to be. If it was a little bit more either modern or "english pub"-like, I’d give a higher score. It feels a bit too empty in character. The service has been decent, nothing extra, nothing less. I’d want to see a bit more interaction. The selection is decent if Young’s ales are what you’re going for. There is some variety from other brewers, but Young’s ales are what i’d go for. The food is good, but still I’m not exactly sure what to think of it, as it’s not as awesome as you might think, and also not anything like good home food. The clients range from old men to student/young people to families. Too mixed for my taste, and there is quite a bit of noise. I think this place has to find it’s place before getting better.

This used to be a charming pub divided into several bars with real locals and a friendly atmosphere. Now it is slick and modern, and they are more interesting in promoting food, wine and imported lagers than the Young’s ales. But it is hand for a pint of Special if you are on Kensington High Street and need a refreshment after braving M&S.

Could be quite a nice place, although when i was there it was playing quite loud music. No minimum on cards is nice and the selection is not too bad. Reasonable for the location I guess. Shame about the clientele.
