A real gem, hidden away from the main drag of the town centre. Good to find something different from the normal range of UK and Belgian brews and reasonably priced too. Great shop, the chap helped us choose the beers then took us through the back of the shop to see if there was anything he had but wasnt on the shelves. He also kept the boxes for us while we went round a few pubs in the town and collected them later. About 150 different mainly english micros bottled and some belgian stuff. Great little shop, Amongst all the tomatoes, tins, fruit and veg is an excellent selection of local and British beers. look behind you and there are the Belgian beers. Excellent wee corner shop with an extraordinary range of beers. Mainly British bottle conditioned stuff, but has a respectable range of Belgians. The choice changes frequently. Leave room in the car for 2 cases if you’re visiting the lake district! |
