| BeerBellyZ (10), Pennsylvania | | December 14, 2011 Always something interesting to try. Love the $2 pint specials on Thursdays. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | May 18, 2011 It all seemed rather generic. They had beers called Kolsch, White Ale, Red Ale. I almost expected to see a blue ale and on cask, though you have to give them props for having a cask, it’s beer. The place is located in a mall, which doesn’t automatically invalidate the beer, but it looks like a million other sports bars/ chain restaurants. They had the typical beers on tap for the chain and specific DIPA which I wasn’t feeling. The food was pretty good but not spectacular. | | alobar (43), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | March 27, 2011 Our introduction to this place started with being ignored by the hostesses. Place is pretty much a sports bar with an area for dining. Beers were adequate-a step above a macro, but nothing spectacular. Food was good-and we waited for it. Came to us lukewarm and out of order. When is a side salad the last dish? We were particularly disappointed that a larger party was served before we were. Probably not returning. | IrsLuver (9), Maryland does not count - explanation | | January 8, 2011 Good food, good brew what more could a person ask for. | | Slipstream (59), | | December 24, 2010 [ Updated February 13, 2011 ] Modern, clean brewpub located in a massive mall in the Philly suburbs. The brew is good and fresh, with about 8-9 rotating taps. They seem to usually have a lager, an IPA, and an unusual ale or two on tap. A big sampler of all their taps is available for a low price - very cool! The food was pretty standard pub grub, nothing special. The crowd was mostly white and suburban. Staff was friendly and helpful. Worth a visit. This appears to be part of a big chain. On the night I visited, Beer Maven Scott opened one of my homebrews to taste it, and it exploded all over everything. The waitress was very nice about it. | | Bricks (13), Delaware | | June 26, 2010 [ Updated July 4, 2010 ] House beer is better than average as is the food. Nothing spectacular. | | machfive55 (35), Columbia, Pennsylvania | | June 10, 2010 Ambiance is half sports bar, half casual dining. There was live music when we were there which was not overwhelmingly loud, but a nice addition. The service was OK, they were fairly busy. The beer was very good, and I thought the value was decent for this being so close to the city. I’d come back here if my wife drug me to the mall. | | TheCaptain (39), Lancaster, Pennsylvania | | November 20, 2009 We have eaten and drank here several times. Place is clean and service was always great. Need to catch more of the special release beer dates. Had their standard line up available with Oatmeal on cask. 2 dollar drafts on thursdays yea! Good food selection but prices can be on the high side, although cheaper than iron Hill! Decent beers and a swinging bar area after 5 PM. Worth a stop. | | NewBelgium5 (12), , Pennsylvania | | June 11, 2009 Brewpub whos food is pretty good. They have typical American dishes and some pastas etc. The beer is all brewed there and I have had the sampler a few times, and enjoyed it every time. | | Jsawyer (21), Glenside, Pennsylvania | | March 7, 2009 Went there for $2 pints on thursday night. A little loud, but obviously popular with the young professionals, service started a little slow due to the volume but was perfect by the end of the evening. Beer was ok, nothing medicinal or putrid, but it was no iron hill. There was also not a huge selection of beers, maybe eight or so. The special made up for it though. Not something to go out of my way for but I’ll certainly go back if I’m in the area. |
