80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 kennydiaz (23) staten island, New York | April 20, 2009| Updated April 5, 2010 I stopped because I saw the one review on rate beer and I was not sure if I could believe this place existed when I must have past it 50 times. Well it was well worth the stop prices were good for ny and the selection was excellent. They had goose island bourbon stout, lagunitas, southern Tier, boulder creek, Chimay, All anchor steam products, and various little ny micro brews. There was one girl who had a pretty decent knowledge of beer but more importantly she knew where every beer I asked about was. Great little place not much to look at but if in the area worth a try you won’t be disappointed. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 npdempse (16) St. Petersburg, Florida | August 21, 2007| Updated April 5, 2010 A really pleasant surprise--lots and lots of US craft brew here, in a really unassuming discount beverage (next to a great pasta store) on the highway between Kingston and West Hurley. They stock all kinds of Weyerbacher, Stone, Southampton, Brooklyn...the list goes on, with plenty of seasonals and rarities: very strong on Northeastern brews. A bit weak on imports, but there’s the standard lot like Sam Smiths, Chimay, Paulaner. Prices seem somewhat high--$18 for a sixer of Ruination--but a good find nonetheless. |
