Rather easy to find – just follow the smaller river by walking the street closest to the big river. It is mentioned in the signs of the big building. Nice, english‐speaking staff and nice view, decent selection of mostly American and Japanese beer with some rarities too. An british‐irish feeling on this pub but something is missing still. Hamburgers were good also.

This rating may seem low thats becasue I’m ranking it against other pubs I’ve been to. But compared to most that I’ve seen in Japan it would be a 90 or 100. This is the best bar in Kyoto for Craft beers. It may be the only pub in Kyoto for Japnanese Craft beers.

There’s a first time for everything. Who would have thought I’d be sitting on the 8th floor of a non-descript building in Kyoto drinking beers off a strong list?Very good views of the river and Southern Higashiyama to boot. Fitout is dodgy tourist theme Irish pub but a very solid 14 tap list (inc 6 from Baird). Pricing in line with market at around 1000 yen for a US pint. I imagine this is the best place for a decent beer in town.

Love the view, food, staff and the new wide selection of Baird Beer! Great place in Kyoto to sample a variety of some of the best Japanese craft beer.

Thanks to KyotoLefty for taking me to this place as the ratebeer maps for this one is totally wrong. Nice irish pub with some good japanese micros and plenty of beers from Stone and Rogue on draught. Food is a bit on the expensive side but the servings are generous. Bartender was nice and friendly even tho not being a beergeek as such. Will definitely visit this place again whenever i happen to be in Kyoto.

Great place.. stumbled upon this place (literally) with a group from a hostel. Great selection in a fun and interesting place. Met up with some locals to share some rough beer chat. Fun and interesting place.

View was good, food was alright, service was pretty shaky, but I heard it’s better if the owner is in the house. Had a bunch of Rogue Yellow Snows for a reasonable price.

Stopped in for Christmas dinner while visiting Kyoto with my family. The beer was in fine condition, though I was saddened to see that there Rogue selection had been finished off right befroe we arrived. They had a decent selection of Rogue bottles, plus three Minoh brews on tap that night. Also had the normal Guinness and Kilkenny. The food was all great. My burger was delicious and I also had a slice of the pizza, which was also excellent. I wish they would expand their tap lineup a little bit, but I really can’t complain with the level of service and overall atmosphere of the place.

Run by an Irish expat chef and his Japanese wife. Great draft beer selection usually includes two from Osaka microbrewery Minoh and two from Rogue as well as Guinness, Kilkenny and Sapporo. Food also top notch. Pizzas and steaks can’t be beat. Also pub staples like Irish stew and Fish & Chips are great.

Great food from pub grub to fine dining at reasonable prices. Amazing view of the Kamo River and Eastern Kyoto. Best draught selection in Kyoto. Usually micro-beers from A.J.I. Minoh, Rogue, Isekadoya and some other American ales on tap, along with your Guinness, Kilkenny, and Sapporo. Often bottles at reduced prices. live Music often.
