| BrewDad (359), Olympia, Washington | | February 7, 2012 Right on the Boardwalk for Disney World how can this be bad. We had a great time loved the food and beer was pretty decent. Not the best but when in need of a cold beer this is much better than the crap in the Epcot area. | | rougeau13 (54), Texas | | December 27, 2011 Nice setting, out on the boardwalk, and being December rather than June, the weather was great. Server was knowledgeable about the beers, and there were six on tap; around average quality to a little better, depending on the beer. The food we had wasn’t great, but the things other people ordered sure looked better. Nice time. | | WVHouseofBeer (30), Kissimmee, Florida | | October 14, 2011 Nice setting on The Boardwalk looking out onto the dock. Great service as our server was attentive and pretty knowledgeable about the beer. Decent selection of styles (brown ale, pilsener, pale ale, oktoberfest, light lager and a red ale) though none of them were particularly good. Food was maybe a tiny bit better than average pubfare. Overpriced, however, that is to be expected if you’re at Disney. Not a bad place though if you don’t feel like leaving Disney’s premises and want to relax with a few beers. | | Suttree (120), Knoxville, Tennessee | | May 29, 2011 Yeah, it Disney, so it’s gonna be a little bit overpriced, and it’s gonna be a little bit artificial. What do you expect? But after 4 days of putting up with Obese people in crocs ( apparently people still wear those. I had no idea), eight year old in strollers (seriously. Make ’em walk) and Florida heat, this was a godsend. There isn’t much craft beer in Disney, even in Epcot, so I enjoyed this - probably more than I should have... | | DocLock (121), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | | January 18, 2011 Ate here in October 2010. The food provided huge portions and was good overall. I couldn’t finish the meatloaf. The service was very good,m and the beer selection had 6 beers, ranging from OK to very good. In my opinion, the ratings are on the low side, and I would go back here. | | sebletitje (200), Enghien, Belgium | | December 15, 2010 Located in the wonderful make belief realm of American dream, Disney World, we have well ... a corporate wanna-be brewpub with all the corporate elements, except tasty beers and food.
What to say about this place? I would say the highlight was the service, nice staff that was very willing to answer our beer related questions. Just too bad that the beers do not allow for much conversation.
The food was .. well ... for the price I paid, $13.50 for a Mahi-mahi burger, I was expecting more than a cheap Gordon Fisherman slapped with a bunch of extra Cajun spices, all served with cheap Frito chips served on a potato bun.
The beers were forgettable at best, all seemed overly hoppy, and the brewers reserve should remain just that, a reserve. The brown had nothing of a brown, and tasted more like a sweet tea, the IPA was well, lacking hops. The waiter told us the brewer had messed up the brew, but still they went ahead and called it a brewers reserve.
Not worth going there again. Only highlight was he service and the cold December weather which meant no tourists. I don’t even want to imagine this place when it’s busy. | | porterhouse (67), Alna, Maine | | October 26, 2010 Food was pretty good but beers were nothing to get excited about. | | revoke (12), Michigan | | April 30, 2010 If you want a brewpub in the Disney area, this is about it. Unfortunately their beer is not all that good. The food and service, however, were wonderful. This is a chain-style place with no real character, and is packed unless you visit Disney off season. Located on the Boardwalk Resort area near ESPN zone, an ice cream shop, etc. This is a family place, not really a true brewpub in my opinion. After stopping hear it makes me wonder what their locations up in Tennessee are like. | | clarkybsu (10), Cicero, Indiana | | February 20, 2010 This is a chain brewery of the worst kind. If you are looking for real brewery fare and atmosphere, look elsewhere. | | SHIG (139), Anchorage, Alaska | | January 9, 2010 Packed to the gills, but since I was ordering to go, was able to find a seat at the bar. I was almost able to finish my beer sampler by the time the food was ready. So the kitchen wasn’t the fastest. The cheese burger I ordered was actually quite good. The bar tender explained all about the beer and was pretty well informed. Location is nice if your already staying at the Boardwalk Inn, probably a bit annoying otherwise. The beer was decent at best. |
