BeerKurve (2), , does not count - explanation | | May 8, 2012 Brewpub has a quint British Pub feel to it. The staff are always willing to give you free samples if you aren’t sure what you’d want. Their selection is quite excellent, you can buy 6 packs there for a good price, and if you want a souvenir glass they are also well priced. Should I ever find myself in that neck of the woods again, I will be stopping there again! | | savnac (155), Anchorage, Alaska | | December 29, 2011 Big production brewery with a nice little tasting room and not far off the highway. Service, selection and value were all above average. Some really tasty beers. Very cool, low key place that I’d see myself hanging out at if I lived near by. | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | September 5, 2011 great brewery in a state with very good breweries. A drive from Madison, and a bit of a day trip from Milwaukee. Check the hours before you go. I had no indication it was open only at 430 pm and doors locked to the very minute. A decent sized room with a bar and tables, and lots of great glasses to try or buy. Not that much of a selection but of course all very good beers. Bartenders were competent, and i was nit getting answers by these ladies to basic technical questions. Most staff concerned with the big orders, and the multi growler fills. Being allergic to dogs, the constant presence of one by staff was not helpful. | | Drake (295), Charlottesville, Virginia | | August 14, 2011 Stopped here on the way to GTMW. It was packed right at opening with others headed in town as well. I have to fault the management here as they did not have beer to go stocked, they were out of growlers, and people were kind of hanging out in an office while the bar area was way the heck understaffed. I have to say though that the young lady working the bar and the tables did one hell of a good job. If there had been 3 people working in that room they all would have been busting ass. Kudos to her. Big open room with a long bar. Tables in the back. Nice ambience. There was a brewery dog which is always cool. It’s an industrial park setting, so there is plenty of parking. No food, but you can have food delivered. Samples were available for a buck each. Prices for pints didn’t seem to expensive but as I was heading to the GTMW pre-parties I dare didn’t indulge. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | March 31, 2011 Driving from Minneapolis to Milwaukee this is a short stop off the highway. You pull up to a newer looking wharehouse. You walk in to an office on the right, the brewery straight back and a bar to the right. The bar is spacious and new looking, but pretty boring overall. At least there is a cool selection of clothing to buy on the wall. The beer available was 6 regulars and 3 special beers that we’re nothing at all special. The server was fairly knowledgeable and pleasant. They offered no food which sucked as we were famished. This place is in the middle of no-where offer some food.
Not a place worth going if your traveling buy. Their beers aren’t great and the chances are they won’t have anything special. | | JaBier (68), Capital City, Ohio | | November 14, 2010 Stopped in on 10/16/10. Nothing extravagant about this place; just a taproom. But it’s a taproom that serves Tyranena beers. Great beer and friendly service. I don’t need anything else. | | blutt59 (121), Dallas, Texas | | September 27, 2010 Industrial park location right of the highway between Mikwaukee and Madison, 5 or 6 taps and bottles also, gets crowded on weekends | | BVery (227), Burnsville, Minnesota | | July 8, 2010 [ Updated September 3, 2011 ] July 7, 2010 and Sept. 3, 2011. Dark atmosphere with cool music. Outdoor seating available. Very friendly bartenders. Good selection of glassware available for purchase. | | kseecs16 (185), Naperville, Illinois | | May 28, 2010 A nice little tasting room in a non-descript industrial brewery. 9 or so taps of their beer. Nice little patio beer garden with a gas grill that you can use to cook your own food. Friendly service and friendly dogs hanging around the bar. Decent prices for beer for there and to go. Did not get to do the tour. | | phishpond417 (51), Madison, Wisconsin | | August 2, 2009 I stopped here for a short visit with my wife, friend and a few other beerpals. I’ve been wanting to check it out for quite some time now. Having been a huge fan of Tyranena for years, our visit seemed long over due. Nice little bar area with all the fixins. A very unassuming place. If you didn’t know your way around Lake Mills (which i don’t) you would probably pass by this place not knowing it was even a brewery. A friendly little biergarten in the back with friendly dogs to accompany it. Overall, it was a nice visit and i will have to make sure i stop by again very soon. |
