Love visiting Lancaster Brewing Company every time I travel to the outlets. Great, drinkable beer in the perfect setting for a brewpub

A very interesting atmosphere. Good food. Busy place though and quite noisy.

Located in what looks like an old warehouse that they installed a micro-brewery in and then took the rest of it and made it into a restaurant. When the bar area gets loud, it gets very loud indeed. They had 9-10 things on tap and they mix together the Strawberry wheat and the Lancaster Milk stout and call it a Chocolate covered strawberry, Word to the wise, if you order a sampler they will give you 12 6oz. beers so pace yourself, i.e. an entire Phillies game, or bring a DD. Also it costs $18 which means its dinner as well. Most of the beers were solid. I can’t recall any that utterly sucked. I though the Hop Hog and the Hefe were at the head of the class. As for ambiance it definitely has a neighborhood bar kind of vibe to it although if I saw one more hefe being served with an orange, I was going to scream very, very loudly.

came here and had the sampler which I thought was well done and very cheap. Neat brick building and atmosphere with a great staff running the place. Really hard to find anything bad here.

Located in a big old industrial warehouse. I loved the ambience here because of that and also because my table was right above the brew kettle. Everything else was fairly mediocre. I didn’t eat. Service was slightly above average. The sampler was HUGE... 12 5 ounce samplers for $14... not bad for 60 ounces of beer, but they didn’t let me get a smaller sampler which was lame. The beer was OK... a couple above average, most average and one was completely foul. Overall, a decent stop, but not great.

Nice place, great food (albeit a bit pricey), the beer has seen better days. Not sure if it’s the brewer, but the beers have gone downhill over the last few years. 4-5 years ago, the beer was quality. Now, it’s average at best.

If your are in Lancaster worth a stop. Good food, service, and value, and some of there more hard to find brews.

Stopped through early May, 2009. The beer selection looked like it would have been better a month ago, as most of the heartier seasonals were crossed off. Still had 9 or so beers on. The food was better than average, my chicken sandwich was right on, though served with a minimal amount of fries. The bartenders were really kind of slow for a place that small, but having only been once, I can’t make any real judgment. The beers were all 4.50 for an imperial pint, 3.25 at happy hour.

The beer selection is weak, with not many rotating brews... kinda gets old quick... I usually only go for their specials, wing night is decent and is usually pretty busy... service is lacking at times, it just seems they don’t have enough people EVER working to deal with the crowd in the evenings... Price of brews is kinda expensive for the quality. I usually drink the Hop Hog or Strawberry Wheat but have noticed frequent inconsistencies with all of their beers... I would only recommend this place during happy hour

Visited on a beer tour 08/17/08. Arrived a little early, but they opened up and let us in (myself and my wife), which we appreciate! I ordered the sampler, 10 beers, 4 of which were pretty good. The HopHog IPA, Milk Stout (my favorite), Rooster Rye, and the Fest Beer. I ordered the white chili, which was very good, and my wife had the quesadilla she liked that as well. The best part of the trip was a tour of the facility by Bill Moore, a brewer who was very informative and humorous as well. In addition to his fine presentation, once he heard we were on a beer tour, he preceeded to provide directions to other breweries in the area he thought we should visit, and spoke with us concerning beer for about 15-20 minutes. I should mention also the brewpub itself, which I found very appealing. Housed in an old tobacco warehouse, the brewery portion of the facility is very visible to the public, as you basically span over top of it! A very entertaining and enjoyable visit, and the milk stout is highly recommended.
